The weather for Sunday, currently, is not looking too great! I am doing the race for life, but I might need to dig out wellies! :(

That can change , Elaine is doing it too . Big week coming up for us , scheduled 5 meetings by next Sunday evening . 11 points from that would be nice

And a nice bonus of no annoying Elite League fixtures clashing with our two road meetings on Thursday and Friday

Getting points at Ipswich and PB next week will be pretty hard to come by. Would expect a reaction from Ipswich after they were beaten by Sheffield earlier in the week and Peterborough look pretty decent. A point from either would be a bonus.

I've seen us at Ipswich twice , 2011 and 2014 , and have yet to see us lose there . A record I would like to continue when I go there on Thursday . As for Peterborough , I think we have riders who will enjoy that wonderful track .

But back to the meeting at hand , without sounding like one of the smugs , this should be a straightforward home win . The Great Satan looks a pale shadow of his former self and I don't really see Risager , Newman or Simota seriously troubling our heat leaders .

Be interesting to see how Holder junior does though

Never underestimate Newman..................unless he is still injured................did not ride for us last night after injuring himself in the GP challenge qualifiers at Gorican at the weekend................

Its a shocking forecast from Sunday right through to Wednesday!

Looks like there is a window off dry weather between 3pm & 7pm tomorrow and it is Light Showers up until 1pm on Tuesday and dry thereafter saying that it all depends what site you look on as on another weather site it has it raining all day tomorrow with it being dry on Tuesday after 10am we will just hope this S*it weather changes soon.

I would be very surprised if this had any chance off going ahead today if anything it is heavier than Last Sunday's monsoon they should really think about changing this to a summer sport

Oh wait it is meant to be summer well nearly this weather is having a laugh it really is depressing

Edited I have just seen a canoe go by the front window with Syrian refugees on it

Well that was a bit off a PR disaster travelled up to find more people coming out than going in why this was not called off this morning when it was torrential is beyond me then wait until it was dry and then call it off

Now my untrained eye told me there was no chance off racing on that track the damage had been already done with the amount off water already on it.

Got talking to a guy outside there for the first time with his son he asked what he does with his tickets can he use them for Tuesday's meeting weather permitting I told him to check at the ticket office if not he can use them next Sunday.

He didn't seem very impressed and that is an understatement don't think we'll see that newbie back.

Can understand to some extent there reasoning behind giving it as long as possible to try and get this on but the decision should have been taken much sooner rather than have fan's wasting time money & effort travelling up this in reality shouldn't have went this far as the amount off rain that fell it was pretty obvious that this was the only outcome.

Whilst they can't control the weather they can control how they deal with the decision making process and keeping the fan's informed with regular updates this is were it went pete tong in the total lack of info , It is a learning curve and hopefully they will have learned that communication in this scenario is key to the fan's not a lot we can do about it now and hopefully the weather picks up as we are now playing catch up already with most other teams and can't afford for it to get flat before it even starts.

Imaging opening the gates taking the fans hard earned cash and then calling it off!

Well now that i am back after my short absence i still see you enjoy your wee digs but on this occasion you have a point no info all morning only to arrive to find it off to be fair it was only a handful as far as i could see that already paid and were immediately issued with rain off tickets so in that respect our hard earned cash stayed in most peoples pockets but thanks for you concern or as i suspect your mischief making

Rain chucking it down again so ultimately the correct call was made just should have been sooner.

I seen a post this morning on facebook saying that meeting would be on as the track was in perfect condition. But then other people who were there at about 1 were wondering how it was still on a not called off earlier. At least you were issued with rain off tickets.

Not on Faceache so can't comment on that but if true whoever said that the track was perfect need spec saver vouchers when i arrived the track was sodden and unrideable in my opinion never mind race-able but as i say as far as i could see only a handful had paid by that point so it was not as if it was a mass off people out off pocket with only a rain off ticket to show for it so no damage done from that respect.

But nothing on the official website all morning were most people would look that was the issue.

Some flawed decision making here. If the track was deemed unacceptable at 2.20 by the referee after 2 hours of dry weather what must it have looked at 12.20 just as the rain eventually stopped. That was the time to call a halt to it. The rain came back on about 4.30 and hasn't gone off.

Giving the weather a chance to clear is fine to try to get it on, leaving that to within an hour of the start when fans have started travelling is not. Whilst it was the ref's decision, its one that should have been made before that.

Probably including my pals from Plymouth

There is a lot of nonsense talked about rain offs on this forum when no promotion calls a meeting off unless they have to. Quite simply, calling meetings off costs money.

That is undoubtedly the case here but from what I can see someone has made a very poor decision that will do Glasgow speedway no good at all.

Blobby has a point.
