smod
As I said before the meeting there was always only going to be one team progressing from this cup tie. Yes, that's how cup ties always work!
bigeddiechek
Thanks for the feedback folks, I'd heard it was a much better meeting. Maybe I am the one who needs to stop going!
Fromafar
Was much better racing. More like it should be entertainment wise. for berwick worrell was good guest greenwood i cant fault for effort. Reserves for ippo and their guest lawson were excellent. Think biggest miss for berwick was alex. Track was much better riders seemed to be able to attack it more. Just shows keep watering track as a dry slick track no good. The dampness seem to hold shale together helping grip and lines etc. Actually enjoyed meeting and look forward to more like this. Was the track watered between heats last night?
Normski
Was the track watered between heats last night?no just the normal track grading

spittalbandit
I assume the rain before the meeting kept the track damp then?Yes the rain made major difference to track. Anybody who watched the pairs last night in a wet denmark would have saw a water bowser behind tractors at every grading. At golden helmet in pardubice at every grading water goes on track. Why not try it at berwick....every tractor race put water on. Am positive it will help. But praise when its due a massive imrovement in track and racing but dont rest on your laurels . Little bit more dirt and water at grading worth a try to keep entertainment and racing good. And the knock on effect crowds might imrove

Normski
Maybe a crop sprayer system on the back of a tractor to keep the track consistent all meeting giving the riders a good racing surface
DSC67
There used to be a crop sprayer at Berwick at one time, don't know where it went , but I agree with others on here a little water every now and again certainly helps to produce better racing
screm
We had the best watering system of them all on Friday night, with a quick shower just as the meeting was about to start last night. IMO it would've been very risky to water during last nights meeting as there was rain all around Berwick, all of which missed us.
MrMungo
That wrist? Which did he break previously? Broke the right wrist last night.
CardinalSin
Which did he break previously? Broke the right wrist last night. His left wrist... So now left AND right! Poor lad isn't having much luck with his wrists is he!!
ZODIAK
To be honest it's probably better to have broken the other wrist as daft as it sounds, than the troublesome left wrist he broke previously. Get well soon lad.
UP URANUS
I enjoyed the meeting last night, track was better, but miles off being classed as good. After the last meeting I nearly did not attend, kids can be very demanding. Just a suggestion, an improvement in the catering would be an idea, we threw most of it into the bin, had to stop at the chip shop down the road on way home, the kids were starving, I must say that is a good chip shop. alang
For what it's worth I really enjoyed last night's meeting too.Close scores and fairly close racing.Guests for both sides trying and scoring as you would hope.It was also really good to see Richard Hall (and Oliver Greenwood too) coming out after the meeting and racing hard for four laps on four occasions I think.Nice to see someone trying to get set-up right when there is a bit of time.It was also good to see Liam Carr riding confidently again (69.4 seconds is a pretty good time at his stage of recovery). Also good to see Jade Mudgway riding again after the meeting. All in all a good night both during the meeting and after till 9.30.Credit where credit's due this week
szkocjasid
Watching EMTV+ & Mike Hunter was interviewing Ritchie Hawkins & they mentioned a debacle of Witches getting knocked out by Berwick in the KOC, so I thought I'd look up the matches to see what happened. A few interesting comments, most expecting Berwick to need a big lead & assuming it's over after a 4 point win (they only lost at Ipswich by 2 in the second leg). Also lots of anti guests comments, I see some things haven't changed in the 7+ years since this match!
