Swindon - Belle Vue 7.5.15

Recommended Posts

A good win from the boys vs. a stronger Belle Vue team than if Cook was riding.

But Zagar was piss poor, i had a look in the pits i think he had three bikes god he was struggling tonight Fricke impressed again a classy rider but Nielsen really surprised me he has improved a fair bit great to see.Pk was great value and Nick unlucky in one race when Josh G was ruthless some good racing Belle Vue with Zagar on it could of took the spoils.

What a meeting of twists and turns, I stated that if all the BV riders did what they were capable of they could get a point. They did get a well deserved point but most of the points came from the second strings and reserves.

For Swindon Killer was back with a bang and a winning his first three rides was classic Kildemand. The meeting was close at heat 9 then in heat 10 Nick Morris went between Zagar and Fricke on bend 2 on the first lap and with Batch scored a 5 1, this was followed by another 5 1 from Killer and Kyle in heat 11 to go 10 points up. Scott then did well in heat 13 and again in 15 and with the points from the second strings and reserves BV clawed the score back to get one point.

Zengi did very well and it was a shame he had bike problems in heat 8, Nick again showed a lot of speed. Charles Wright had a good meeting scoring 8 from 5 rides, following a good meeting for him at Poole last night.

It is obvious that Batch is not yet fit and I wonder if he will be rested and a guest used tomorrow and monday.

Swindon got out of jail with this one, thank god that Zagar had a kasprzak type meeting yet again or the robins would be looking at falling further away from the established teams so far. Hopefully a killer will score big points throughout his stay and not fall into the inconsistent camp that so many of the top boys seem to be in this season.

You are just talking rubbish now. Look at the table - Swindon aren't falling away from anyone - 2nd to 7th is very close at this stage of the season!

He's winding you up and you bite every time! Just ignore him until the middle of September and then laugh at him when we are miles ahead of them in the table!

I know Batch scored the same as he did last week but I thought he had actually improved this week. At least he was racing and was involved in a few good battles. Last week he practically gave up if he missed the gate.

If Morris continues this form then Zengi and Howarth will be second strings all season which makes us strong there. Just need to sort the top 2 out and maybe it won't be such a bad season after all! Batch will come good when he's fit. Just need to persuade Killer to stay.

If the Aces can go to Poole and come away with a draw, I'm sure they have the capability to create a problem or two at Swindon.

Still, I believe Swindon will win, but it won't be as one sided as some seem to think. It wouldn't surprise me if the Aces take a point......

Probably a predictable result, but one would have expected more from Batch and Zagar. Both difficult to predict at times. Batchelor could be still troubled by injury, whereas Zagar has problems with his motivation.

To get into the Play-offs, you look to win at home and get a points or so away, so in this case both teams managed this. Come the end of the season, I have no doubt both these teams will be in the reckoning. The only cast iron bet at the moment is Coventry will definitely be one. The others, three could be any, permed from five .

Talking about Rory and guesting for other teams. Don't have a problem with that, although it could be detrimental to their own club, But once the 4 teams in the PO have been decided, I feel it is wrong that riders can guest for other PO teams. It takes mockery to a new level..

It's clear Batch isn't 100% fit, too stiff on the bike.

Welcome back to the leagues most talked about rider PK, just hope he stays now, we will go backwards if AM returns.

I looks on the updates site and looked at the 'from the gate' comment for heat 14... anything but. Nick, Josh and Rory battling out at the back and how did Nick stay on his machine during that race...

I did say 4 - 6 point win and so it proved to be.

Lewis Rose needs a good meeting somewhere to get his confidence going.

Zagar... the enigma that he is. He is Either mustard or pants... Even Batch who isn't fit rode better that he did. He was shocking.

PK... great return for the leagues No.1 rider

KH... solid points from the U21 champ

NM... improving with age

GZ... initially thought he'd struggle but proving me wrong

TB... clearly not fit

LR... struggled

CW... has impressed me big time, on the gas and challenges

MZ... zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

MF... another Aussie going to make it

JG... on the gas and battled

RS... everyone's No.1 guest

SN... last 2 rides were impressive

SW... 2014 Robins rider of the year, ok

SN... improved during the evening and finished with a win

Another gutsy performance, it was a test to the maximum last night and we got the result.

If Cookie was riding we would have cleared BV by 10 points at least, so everyone's favourite guest produced the goods for you.

Up the Robins.

A disappointing result in the the end, before the meeting would have been very happy with that result and predicted we would just get a point, but with Zagar scoring a disgraceful 2 again should have been a comfortable away victory.

Was it a decent crowd with Swindon Town on the TV??

The crowd was a bit down on previous weeks but bigger than I thought it was going to be, but that was probably down to the fans wanting to see the return of Peter. It is hard to guess numbers, and I may be way out but I would estimate about 1000.

The Regulations have been amended to redress this point.

Riders in Play Off teams cannot guest for other teams in the Play-Off's.
