Swedish Elitserien 2015, Round 1

Swedish Elitserien 2015, round 1

It's May 5th 2015 and tonight it's (hopefully) première for the 2015 Elitserien season. The shortest one in many many years since it is inly 7 teams this season.

As the previous couple of seasons, Elit Vetlanda are considered to be favourites to win the title again.

However behind Vetlanda and (imo) Indianerna the rest of the teams are fairly equal, except Lejonen maybe which have a little weaker

team but for which their home track will compensate.

For all rounds Cmore will televise 1 meeting but they will also show all three meetings online (In Sweden only but with browser addons such as Hola

you might be able to circumvent the geoblock). The online meetings costs 79sek (about £6). Payment by credit/debit card).

Online stream site: http://www.csports.se/spelschema?sport=motorsport

The televised meeting will also be shown live on Eurosport 2, 6pm UK time.

We'll see if any of the meetings can go ahead since the weather forecasts looks very "un-good". Anyway here are the provisional lineups for tonight;

C more will be switching the Lejonen match to another(as per Lejonen website )-Ghostie do you know any more ?

Edit Vetlanda v Smederna ??

Not surprising since Lejonen-Rospiggarna will likely rain off if the weather will be like it says in the forecasts.

Yes Elit Vetlanda - Ikaros Smederna is the new tv-meeting. https://twitter.com/cmoresport/status/595504075241820160

Vetlanda will possibly use R/R for Hampel but it is still unconfirmed though.

Lejonen - Rospiggarna is off: http://www.lejonen.se/Nyheter/Nyheter1/Installt/

In Vetlanda they are waiting to see if the rain stops. IIRC they have good track covers in Vetlanda so as long as the rain stops within a reasonable amount of time
I think that meeting will be able to go ahead but no guarantees though.

Track was not covered in Vetlanda.

Pretty amazing that Smederna agreed to ride tomorrow without both PK and MM. What happened to Hampel by the way? Why R/R? Or will he be ready for tomorrow?

Hampel claimed that he became ill while he was on his way to the meeting, but more likely it was more a case of aquaphobia and I wouldn't be surprised if

he suddenly have recovered by tomorrow.

I don't know what Smederna was thinking except saving money (travel costs) perhaps since all the riders already were there and I assume lack of other available days.

the Elite League is occupying pretty much any other suitable day and then there are other meetings as well in DK, Sweden, Poland and etc...

While I understand that Mikkel have to ride in Denmark, PK should be obligated to prioritize Sweden since it is in the rules and his Swedish teams have to come first.

PK has pulled out of tonight's EL fixture at Poole due to sickness so it is RR now for both matches.

No PK at Poolle tonight, he's unwell (see Wolves web site). So if he is also r/r for Smederna then what is the furthest distance apart that r/r has been used for the the same rider on the same night???

Couldn't Rory Schlein take both the guest bookings!!!

We don't have that kind of guest system in Sweden. A team can only use it's own riders.

Is there a stream for this meeting

*edit no it was just results links. It is being showed on Csports.se but I don't know if there are any un-blocked streams available.

Live results for Vetlanda-Smederna. http://ta.svemo.se/Public/Pages/Competition/DrivingSchedule/CompetitionLiveResult.aspx?Branch=Speedway&Columns=CompetitionInfo,Branch,Name,Arena,Organizer,FromDateShort&Datefilter=Today&pagesize=10&CompetitionId=4606

5-1 Vetlanda in heat 1.

4-2 Smederna in heat 2. We had 5-1 for two laps but Henderson for some reason didn't ride the ideal line along the white line so he lost 2nd place.

Surprise surprise Hampel is suddenly not sick, could be because the sun is shining. Vetlanda are such cheaters.

5-1 Vetlanda heat 3.

Heat 4, King Kenni reigns supreme. 3-3.

Heat 5, 3-3 Przedpelski lead to the final bend when Ljung passed on the inside,

Heat 6 5-1 Vetlanda and I have turned off the stream.
