dontforgetthefueltapsbruv
After losing by only 7 away with half a team it would be a big shock for anything less than a 20+ win for the Witches which will paper over the cracks nicely! Baldyman
It's gonna be a thrashing of the highest order I think. Like you say, hiding those cracks up
Super Blue
After seeing how well Sheffield did at Somerset I'm also beginning to think that nothing less than a big home win would be acceptable . Would expect Danny and Rohan to both get a hat full of pts . Cam to get a few but very hit and miss at Foxhall . Not sure how Nico will respond having moved up to a main team place . Anyone know if Gino is likely to make his comeback on Monday ? His fitness could be a crucial factor to the overall outcome . Ritchie and Stefan both ought to be a decent shout for good point returns but who knows quite where Ritchie's head will be ? Would be nice to get a few league points on the board and get the season proper up and running !
ZODIAK
Think Gino himself was hoping to make his return on Monday, but having listened to Phil Hilton's interview on another thread that Badge posted yesterday, he didn't seem keen on Gino returning for this one at all. In fact, he even let slip in the interview that it'll be R/R at #2. Edit: This is the interview, go to 01:34 http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p02p664p#auto Edited May 2, 2015 by Hong Kong Phooey
2ndbendbeerhut
Long trips back for King and Tungate on Sunday, King in Lonigo for the GP qualifiers, Tungate in Germany riding King's meeting starts at 16.00 local time and some decent riders in the field including Ex-Witches Makinen, Monberg and Tressarieu. Good luck to "the King" Other Ex Witches in the qualifiers Gorican has Linus Sundstrom and at St Johann - Karol Baran, Dakota North, Tobi Kroner and Richie Worrall. all take their places. flagrag
I heard that Gino was going to have a practice at Leicester today and see how he feels. I know he has been in Leicester today helping the club promote the sport with his bikes and dressed in his Kevlars at Leicester City's football match
Baldyman
The problem With meetings like this is often the track. Not what the home team is used to. It should still be 20 plus win though. I think most people would be happy with a 7 point win and some good racing though. Bank holiday meetings and good racing don't normally go together mind. ZODIAK
Problem with day meetings as we all know is that it's really difficult to keep moisture in the track. The best we can hope for is rain in the morning like we had on Good Friday. The track was actually a bit on the heavy side early doors on Good Friday but the meeting was pretty decent as a result. EIS002
Best of luck to both teams and a safe one. Hopefully Sheffield will make a fist of it and keep it as close as possible for a good meeting. might even make the trip if the weather looks OK😺😺
CardinalSin
Really pleased Sheffield signed Garrity in time for this one as he was box office on Good Friday! Bit of a nutter but very entertaining.
EIS002
Hopefully Garrity will ride and has enough time to travel to Coventry. Have to say he's been very good at sheffield. Edited May 2, 2015 by EIS002
Badge
Hopefully Garrity will ride and has enough time to travel to Coventry. Have to say he's been very good at sheffield. The start time was brought forward to allow Danny enough time to get to Coventry after the meeting, so Jason should too.
Baldyman
Wonder what condition the track will be in since they had banger racing on last night. Is a day and a bit enough to sort it out properly?
Super Blue
Im sure the track will be as good as it always is for a bank holiday afternoon meeting , no further comment required me thinks .
dontforgetthefueltapsbruv
Surely it would be bladed right down and started from scratch. Now there should be no more rain you would expect it to be as straightforward as it can be. The only question mark could be man power/hours. I don't really know how long it takes to lay a track from the Base up. I'm not sure how much material is put on top of the Base at foxhall. sometimes it doesn't look much at all. 2ndbendbeerhut
King came 13th in Lonigo after he scored 4pts, Makinen 10th with 7 and Tressarieu 9th with
