OveFundinFan
or £20 on the terraces as an alternative. Its the opening of a brand new stadium, rare thing these days, and its the Peter Craven Memorial Trophy so I would imagine it would be a good rider field with some past Aces riders being on show as well. Only my thoughts though.

With the COST of the new Stadium - I would expect them to need as much money as they can get as soon as possible. I don't blame them in the least. :approve:

Sotonian
Good to see Peter Craven being honoured, both in the meeting and having a suite named after him. I know speedway is accused of living in the past, but in this case justifiably so.
Phil The Ace
Will these be the past Aces that Little and Large wont to or are charging £10 to watch on Monday nights WHICH is what they should. They only have to pay a tenner. I've noticed a few ex riders missing since having to pay a tenner. Says to me they was just free loaders so good riddance to them. Booked and paid for three NFL games at Wembley in October 2015 in October 2014.

MattK
You have to hand it to Belle Vue, they are the masters of marketing.
New Science
The Building is in progress.Just don't see the need to be selling tickets eleven months in advance, surely November / December when the main infrastructure of the track and main stand are in place would be better. Would you book a hotel room before it had been built ?
lastword
You have to hand it to Belle Vue, they are the masters of marketing. Hardly that. If you had seen the situation in the office selling the tickets on the day they were announced you would have a different opinion. However, after all the (personal) money that the directors have put into this venture over the last 7 years or so you cannot expect them not to try to recoup some of that ASAP. pugwash
Terracing is £20 per adult and £8 children. Much cheaper 2 adults and 2 grandaughters £64 to stand on a banking £64! I'm not having a go here. I'm a local lad and went to my first speedway meeting at Hyde Rd in 1960, so The Aces are dear to my heart and i'd love to see success at the new stadium but feel that the pricing is ott. Will wait till I'm 'up north' later in the year and take the girls to BV v Pirates meeting with a 'nosh' at Wang Sing after. Grachan
I think it's a good idea to market the opening of the stadium as a major event. Why not? To many it will be seen as Belle Vue Speedway re-opening. They may not get people in regularly for league racing, but if this is marketed as a major meeting with plenty of local advertising then I don't see why people won't pay that amount as a one off.
