Wanderer
Not necessarily anything wrong with Richie, although his scores in the EL & PL last year and so far this year have not shown the progress some expected. My point is that the are riders under Simon's average who seem to be riding better than Richie and that we should use them if we want to win as many matches as possible. I don't understand your quote about his results last year and this year he actually got the rider of the night two weeks ago for Somerset I feel for this lad he won't be getting much bike time and won't be earning much money it looks to me he as been let down by Bellvue leaving him with no elite league ride young worrall will now be playing catchup. scottyfan
Richard Lawson! Matt obviously wants to lose at home again, poor choice of guest!Absolutely agree. Surely even PK would be a better option, as he seems to be back on form at the moment!!Can't see the Aces troubling the Pirates too much. 53-39 type score.Edited for accuracy:- Can't see the Pirates troubling the Aces too much.53-39 type score Edited April 29, 2015 by scottyfan
stevebrum
Pks new average effective next week is still well below steads assuming the latest green sheets are correct. You ate right of course that maybe he doesn't want bookings, as otherwise he would presumably have been guesting a lot rather than schlein, Lawson etc. Haven't looked at new averages yet so I am surprised that stead is still above his new average! superguest
Pk rode in Sweden yesterday so I doubt he would come back for a guest appearence. Hes due back on thurs so probably already has flights booked. Edited April 29, 2015 by superguest
Bigballs
I'm with you Bigballs, hopefully Richie will put on a show to remind our management of what he is capable of.[/quote It looks like the management have given him a life line and said show us what you can do we are going to leave cook British number 2 at number4 and put you in at number 3 to make our team stronger.? Aces51
His EL rolling average dropped last year from 5.64 to 5.53 in an easier format for second strings. His PL average fell from 8.42 to 7.32. As for Belle Vue leaving him without an EL ride, I think you will find it was Richie who wanted a year away. Having said all of that I think Richie has talent and will improve and Belle Vue have said they anticipate he will be back with the Aces next year. What I am saying now is that there are riders who potentially could guest for Stead who are riding better than Richie at the moment and we should always use the best guest we can get. The club comes before any individual rider. I shall be delighted if Richie does well tonight but I doubt that many fans would think that on present form PK or Morris are not more likely to score more than Richie at Poole. orion
Bad luck by the looks of it for the aces ...the ef for Zagar cost them the win .
scottyfan
And I thought we would learn from the first time we booked Richard Lawson to guest for us. Ford will never learn that a PL rider CANNOT replace an EL number 1.
Gavan
Well done Belle Vue what a cracking result. EF for Zagar cost them the win. Still issues with Holder not dominating meetings like he should

waiheke1
Great result for aces. BUT why didn't s worrall take nielsen%s 4th ride? A point there could have been the difference
Poole Quay 7
Early days yet, but things need to be looked at by management and a few riders need to up their act. Well done to the Aces who nearly, and perhaps should have won the meeting?......I doubt you will get a better chance this season! Based on the above, I'm happy to get a point Edited April 29, 2015 by Poole Quay 7

Two minute warning
Brilliant result for Belle Vue. I think this week has been a turning point for them and they are now showing signs of what they are capable of. I did have my doubts when I noticed Zagar instead of Nicholls in heat 15 but he pulled it off. It was unlucky for Poole to lose Janowski again as he is their star rider. They seem to struggle a bit without him. Edited April 29, 2015 by Two minutes notice
