Belle Vue Aces Vs Kings Lynn Stars 27.4.2015

Recommended Posts

Much better second half from a Lynn point of view but too little too late. Haven't looked like getting anything away from home so far this year and heads will have to roll if it continues.

this was a meeting of two halfs had it rained sooner I think we may have sneaked a point the damper condition clearly help the Stars up until the rain we was dire only Robert can hold his head high over the 15 heats . I've defended the team so far this season but have to say we don't look capable of an away win this season - Leicester away next Monday could decide the fate of certain members of the team I feel if we lose the axe could fall .

That's the problem when rain is in the forecast.... Track prepped with little if any water, and no dirt to speak of.... A little bit of rain and you get a wet, rock hard base, with a little wet shale on top, turns into a skating rink.. the little bit of rain sits on top of the bone hard base because it's had no water on it to speak of, so the rain cannot get into the surface, it just gets so slippery, should have been watered properly during day.. it would if handled the rain shower much better..

Brilliant night Cookie, well done lad. A good win for Belle Vue but disappointed with Kings Lynn

Robert Lambert..... Great to watch and talks well too for a young-un..... Wet track...... What wet track?

Oh Mr B , shocking, no praise for the winning team, shall I tar all Lynn supporters with the same brush like your good self :-)

I know Belle Vue can be a hard place to go but I'm really surprised with the score as thought it would be a lot closer. Congratulations to Belle Vue on a solid win.

Belle Vue are up to 6th instead of bottom of the table 👍

Not King's Lynn's night but I'm sure it will be a different story Wed on their own track.

Love watching Robert Lambert and tonight was no different.

Eh? Well done to BV but they didn't have much to beat to be fair. Lynn were shocking.

Lyon forgot the magic words "moisture's seeping from the track"

Those will never work on their own. He needed to add 'I'm a representative of Poole speedway and this is the result we want, so in the interest of Poole Speedway Rider Safety lets pretend it's suddenly much more dangerous than before'

GRW123, look forward to seeing your defence of this sh!+

I try not too disappoint. But to defend that showing last night would be difficult.. In my opinion only Lambert, and too some extent, Kerr can walk away with their head held high. The rest were dreadful. Even our own Niels was off the pace. They appeared to have that extra gear and we were struggling to stay in touch....

A Team Manager / Promoter has a tricky job in assembling a team. One that will put in 110% everytime they rides. Us supporters always puts plenty of importance in winning each meeting. but to a rider, each meeting is just another day at the office. and last night was one of those days. We had no Drive, no Desire, no Passion, no Spark, We couldn't even get out of the gate. In truth it was embarrassing. Watching speedway for as long as I have, it's a long time since I witnessed such a dreadful team performance.

I must say a well done to BV who made the Stars look 2nd class. I feel they took pity on us easing off towards the end, just so there was some respectability in the score and for that I thank you. Any thoughts, we may had, of Lynn making the Play-off, in this our 50th year, after last night is just a distant dream .

Can not disagree with any of that.

We've not hit 40 points in any way meetings so far this season and had Swindon had their own heatleaders we'd love been beaten at home.

I've a complete lack of confidence for Wednesday against a strong Coventry side

Think you should be okay against us. Bees are without super Sarjeant. King's Lynn is one of our weakest away tracks. King's lynn look good at home esp Lambert & Kerr.

You obviously missed BVs non-performance last week against the Bees

All These calls to sack this rider or that rider. The truth is there is little to nothing out there to replace them with. Ok, get shoot of Morris, bring in Stokes, then 3/4 meetings down the line when he has scored little to no points, are we then going to sack him and move on to the next one on the list. Kenni B is having a right 541t time of it, again who is out there to replace him ? Bjerre might not be pulling up any trees at the moment, but people know he hasnt become a poor rider overnight, I am sure his time will come and he will kick on again. Porsing is the one big worry. I really thought he would have kicked on this season. last term we saw what he could do with decent equipment under him there were times he looked untouchable around Saddlebow and took some real big scalps. This season, so far, he just doesnt look the same rider. Is it Machainery again, lack of Interest, too much going on, or was last season really his peak ?

One little question on the fast track riders list. will the New Zealand lad at Eastbourne ( Wilson ?) be added to that list sometime soon, as I understood he had a British Grandparent ?

It's hard to say whether Belle Vue were good or Lynn dreadful, probably a bit of both but it wasn't a good meeting and their was a blue groove visible after 7 heats which isn't good, ZAGAR looked tremendous until he missed a gate and their was little passing especially in the second half of the meeting.

Lynn just don't seem to be cutting it at the moment and all their top riders appear to be struggling.

Lyon, pathetic action getting on the phone to try and get the meeting stopped, should be embarrassed.

But fair play to the ref who, very politely, told him to "shut the f__k up and get on with it, the track is fine".

The ten heat rule, brought in for good reasons, now needs changing. The idea is not to race on, on an unfit track, until heat 10 and then call it off. It is meant to be in the case of deterioration of the track before heat 15.

We now seem to accept a match is 10 heats and if its sunny and the riders can be bothered we may get 5 bonus heats thrown in

I don't think fans have accepted it. Sky, Pearson and those that make the most noise and get heard unfortunately have. Paying customers just aren't in the equation any more
