What I meant to say was that we have been sloshing around for 82 pages of what I have labelled 'speculation' by posters include myself who don't know Tai Woffinden personally . Obviously you do, so your posts have a bit more gravitas than most on here me included. ok i did see him and have dinner with him when he come to Peterborough to sign the wall which i helped organise as it was a mate who did the wall murial.. i mentioned this to him and he said i dont read that drivel.. if people I.E Robert72 have something to say i suggest instead of posting away on here.. pop and see him at cardiff while he signs autographs etc and ask him direct.. but i guess they wont because they are closet fans and just want to have an arguement with someone.. i will tell you him deciding to not ride in the UK was a very hard one for him.. one that took a long time to make.. but his world championship title hopes and another title is more important to him.. this game can end at a minutes lack of concentration and when you are tired riding in every country going its tiring.. i wouldnt want to do it thats for sure.. but seeing him when he cannot keep his eyes open riding over here then back over seas.. its not on.. and something had to break.. i for one would rather earn more money riding abroad than travel over here and earn not a lot to keep a few people happy.. i would suggest there are more people that are happy we have a british world champ than there are that are annoyed he isnt riding in this country.. In scenario A, if Woffinden doesn't ride in the 2017 British semi-final/final, robert72 will declare he has again turned his back on British speedway, is unpopular with the fans (the cheers of 30,000-plus at Cardiff notwithstanding) and resume his unavailing quest to have Great Britain's best rider -- possibly Britain's best ever rider -- removed from the national team. In scenario B, if Woffinden does ride, robert72 will say he has learned his lesson but only done so in response to the overwhelming outpouring of demand from alienated supporters. He will also say this is a lesson that should have been learned the previous year. If he doesn't ride in the Ben fund, robert72 will demand a major fundraising effort for it from the fabulously wealthy Woffinden.
