Gavan
The British Final is a farce simply because Woffinden couldnt be arsed to ride. Too tired poor little mite. It makes a mockery of the event and reduces the crowd considerably. But Woofinden doesnt care. He doesnt care for British speedway full stop. It doesnt matter that British speedway gave him the opportunity to learn his trade. He has already stuck his middle finger up at league racing. Hell to all the fans from Wolverhampton that cheered him on. Now he has wrecked the British Final but not being bothered to ride. Yet all the apologists are out in force posting his schedule, which looks the same as the majority of the sports top riders. And lighter than nki, Jonsson, Holder and Zagar. Personally the crowd for the swc wont be affected as most of the tickets have now sold anyway. I would drop him from TeamGB. We owe him nothing. Let him take a holiday to give him the opportunity to get over his tiredness. He has disrespected British Speedway and for the life of me I struggle to understand why some people are still supporting him. The most unpopular British World Champion ever? We are not going to win anyway so give the spot to a youngster. trolling at its finest from one of the forums biggest?????? Nice tirade but basically nobody gives a rats arse on your opinion when it's designed to gain a reaction. Pathetic and childish are 2 words that spring to mind. Anyway I'm in the majority of probably around 95% on this thread who understand how the sport works and why Tai isn't riding. Have fun cheering Holder in the world cup because I will be there cheering on team gb and making sure Tai gets the biggest cheer. Sad sad manMe neither. And this isn't one of them.he is a troll and posts for reactions. Still can't get over the fact that Tai never rode for Poole!

And no Tai isn't the most unpopular world champion he will be the most remembered one ever a true legend in the UK for winning it 3 maybe 4 or 5 times. It's funny how the Tai haters are pretty much all the forum morons like yourself , Shovlar and Starman who lets be fair are 3 people whose opinions nobody actually gives a stuff about

Unfortunately some people don't believe people who think this way are allowed an opinion let alone be allowed to voice it. Absolutely. It seems Gavan's posts are fact and true and everyones elses opinion is trolling. A few days ago he said he was speaking for everyone.mhe wasnt speaking for me and never will. A shame he can't debate. Everyone has their own opinion, some think crapping on the uk scene is fine while others think it a disgrace. See, that's my opinion. Others will disagree and that's their perogative. I took no joy in writing that post. I don't dispise Woffinden or anything like that. Just believe he has let his home country down very badly. Surprised others can't see that but I don't revert to childish name calling. nope don't mind people having different opinions I just struggle having a conversation with idiots. I am neither of those things and have an opinion just like everyone else. To try and slur me by saying I know nothing about the sport is also false as you well know. Resorting to name calling again is childish. It certainly is and makes the poster look like they are incapable of realising there are other people out there who don't have the same opinion.

I feel he should have rode in it, but its bot the end of the world that hes not.... Hes had a beef with british speedway over the past few years judging by some of his comments, so there might be other reasons that we dont know. ColinMills
I think theres people who will support woffy whatever he says or whatever he does. I believe he is arrogant,(as twitter comments would suggest), he has put down fellow brits in a statement, and he has put down the lakeside track publicly. on the flip side, hes a terrific rider, and is at least giving this sport coverage. Shale Searcher
At the end of the day, it's British Speedway that will suffer.. Can you imagine if Tai Was asked onto A Question Of Sport.....? His introduction. Welcome Tai Woffinden, first British World Speedway Champion since Mark Loram in 2000. Well Tai, which Team do you ride for in the UK? Well Sheila, sorry, I mean Sue, I don't ride for a British team, I don't have time, they ride on to many nights of the week, not like the rest of Europe, who all have one set day a week, oh, and the British tracks are crap, Sue says, Oh, so where do you ride your bikes? Well Cobber, I mean Sue, I ride in Poland, Sweden, Denmark, and the World Championship. Sue then says, when do you ride in Europe then? Well Sue, they all ride on one day a week, well, except Poland who ride on 3 days a week, oh, and Sweden, they have 2 days a week, and Denmark, they ride one day a week.. (Sue looks confused) Well Tai, you're the defending British Champion, who do you see as your main threat this year? Well, Sheils, er, I mean Sue, I'm not riding in that either.. Sue then asks why? are you recovering from an injury? No, just don't have time for that meeting either.... Look Sue, I've done more for British speedway, than anyone else will in the next 10 yrs!! Tell me that's all well and good for British Speedway..? Edited June 9, 2016 by Shale Searcher
