Should Tai Woffinden Ride For Team Gb ?

He has plenty time to bring a bike from Sweden on the Tuesday to the Uk on the sunday with ease before getting it back to Sweden on the Tuesday if he so wishes ..he has people who work for him who could did this ....so it's not a irrelevant point all ...to say a world champion can't get a bike to speedway meeting is laughable

If the EL was a major force like it was in yesteryear as the BL was you would have a point.But England is now an after thought,a hindrance to riders most people know and except that be great to see Tai ride at the superb new Belle Vue track in the WTC.

What has the El being a force have to do with a World Champion getting a speedway bike to a meeting .

dear god after everything that has been said with reasoned arguements you all still think he could get bikes here..

 

with league fixtures either side of the semi's and final he couldnt get a bike over here let alone 3 as he needs those bikes for his league fictures in sweden and poland.. you really are not considering he turns up with one bike.. he would need two minimum..

 

his GP bikes and team however will be here at the next GP as the team has its time to get them prepared and over here..

 

and your world cup arguement is dead in the water there are no fixtures in and around the world cup so that an easy fix isnt it..

 

if someone of you lot that think its possible can post up a detailed reply of how he could get those bikes with travelling times and fixtures either side with no effect of his bikes being available and ready for his league fixtures and reasonably argue your point then i am sure we will all read and take it in..

He could have got bikes there. I suspect it would have meant losing money to race. And would have made no sense at all in terms of his pursuit of the world championship. But his Sweden bikes could surely have been freighted to the UK for Friday and back to swe'd en by Tuesday. It would just make no financial sense to do so, nor in a professional sense.

IF tai really wanted to ride in the British Final bikes would of got to Manchester Fact.

 

Also If it was the Monster British final then Tai Would of been there for the semi and the final.

you tell me exactly how he would do it bike are all taken up swedish and polish leagues before and after the meetings take place.. and the final was a day and a half after the GP in denmark..

 

and consider Tai shouldnt be out of pocket doing this either..

 

come up with a case now and prove that he could do it within a budget that he WILL NOT LOOSE ANY MONEY RIDING IN IT..

Robs got zero idea re the demands of a top level speedway rider, never has, never will…..he thinks it is all about strapping a bike to the back of a Capri and driving an hour for 2 minutes work…

 

No context or understanding of what it takes to reach the pinnacle of the sport, the sacrifices needed etc and so on, he said so himself.

 

That said it, is irrelevant, Woffinden not being at the British Final was nothing to do with bikes being in the UK or not, he literally explained why he didn't ride in it.

Ah, you've got it now. You've been insisting it would have been IMPOSSIBLE for Tai to have got a bike or two over here for a British semi-final but now you see he could have done but IT WOULDN'T HAVE BEEN FINANCIALLY VIABLE FOR HIM TO DO.

 

So, possible yes but not really worth it.

 

And are you seriously suggesting that ALL Tai's bikes are in vans going between Sweden and Poland or GPs? No spares tucked away in Polish or Swedish workshops, none at home or with a tuner? No spare machines anywhere that could have been sent over here for a semi-final had he wanted to ride?

none at home.. and a tuner will only have engines.. and i pretty sure they need a bike to be put into..

 

bikes are one thing but read the rest time limits and everything else..

 

and i am saying it would be impossible for him to do it.. i am asking for someone to prove otherwise and a way it wont cost him a fortune..

 

of course he could fly them in and out but really is that a probable option.. ?? i dont think so hence my word impossible..

 

but this is more about his time table for his other comitments as well.. and the fact he didnt ride the Semi's due to fixture clashes

I know exactly what goes on at the highest level and that's why I know tai could get bikes to Manchester.
