robert72
Shock and Horror!!! This morning I read Andy Murray is taking a rest after his French Open final before Wimbledon. What about all these matches that will be taking place around the UK between now and Wimbledon, surely he should be doing these so the British public can see no2 tennis player in the world. He doesnt think so. He has a nagging injury that needs rest,so he misses one tournament it's not for the national title. So How you can compare Andy to tai or tennis to speedway it's just laughable.
Gavan
dear oh dear people He has to ride for his Polish club its a contractual agreement he has no choice If you care to take 5 minute to read the responses of the other riders, Pedersen , Hancock, Iversen to name 3, then you would realise ALL the riders are up in arms about this and moaning about it. The reason they are all moaning??? THEY ARE CONTRACTED TO RIDE!!!!!!!! Tai missing the British Final because of his diary around it is perfectly understandable to those people who actually know the reasons. Or are you fools suggesting he drops the Cardiff GP??? No of course not. He isnt contracted to do the British Final and was never going to with all the GP's around the dates. Now people look at his diary around the GP and jump all over it when it is so completely different!!! Obviously people who have no idea how the sport is run, or simply Tai haters He has a nagging injury that needs rest,so he misses one tournament it's not for the national title. So How you can compare Andy to tai or tennis to speedway it's just laughable. How you keep banging on and Tai bashing is even more laughable
SteveLyric2
Doesn't the Polish league have fixtures the day after most of the GPs??? What's all the fuss about?
Vince
Don't the riders contracted to ride in Poland have good equipment based there to take part in the matches the day after GP's?
BWitcher
So what your saying is the contract for the British final wasn't big enough for him so why should he bother doing it as riding in the polish league is more money and is far more important than riding in the British final in front of British fans. I once thought speedway was classed as tough dirt track racing for the brave, not a sport run on billiard tables for pampered riders. What contract is this that he has for the British Final? Or are you just making things up now
Steve Shovlar
and if the Danish final was right by a gp weekend or the Danish qualifier was then would they all have ridden??? so your point is totally irrelevent I get a feeling your wrong. Ive cheered for Rickardsson and Gollob when they raced in the gp but not in a race when a Brit was in it. I didnt have time for Havvy really but i cheered him on against Rickardsson because im British. 95% of the Brits in the crowd will want Tai to win , its the very very small minority that will not want him to win spot on post. shame there is a few pathetic few on here I am happy for him to win. But still stick to my opinion that what he has done is totally wrong.

Yes they do which is why their equipment is all there Don't the riders contracted to ride in Poland have good equipment based there to take part in the matches the day after GP's? Yes they have equipment in Poland for that very reason What contract is this that he has for the British Final? Or are you just making things up now You know by now he makes things up and just finds any angle to have a pop at Tai
Steve Shovlar
As for Murray, is there a more bland, dull and boring sportsman on the planet? Did anyone really care that he lost yesterday? He still got about a million quid. A few Strawberry eaters at Wimbledon and over hype on the bbc, but really no one really cares Murray wins or not.

Or are you just making things up now Tai would of had a lot more money than the others had he wanted to do it but I guess it still wasn't enough or he would of done it, No loyalty to the British fans. Clearly you don't know anything about riders contracts and demands. Poland riding Thursday's,Friday's & Sunday's yet riders want the Uk to be one day a week, thankfully that will never happen. The number of people who care whether Murray wins or not at Wimbledon outnumber those who don't want Tai to ride for GB by around a million to one. Tai would of had a lot more money than the others had he wanted to do it but I guess it still wasn't enough or he would of done it, No loyalty to the British fans. Would he? So you're claiming the BSPA would have paid Tai over and above the odds to ride in the British Final? Evidence of this please?

Evidence is my experience and involvement in speedway for 30 years. Do you really think richard hall & tai would get the same money ? So you're claiming the BSPA would have paid Tai over and above the odds to ride in the British Final? Evidence of this please? Its likely that they may have offered Tai more money to ride once he had made his intention not to ride. However its not money that is stopping him from riding Clearly you don't know certain rider demands, of course he would get more than others, asking for proof shows how stupid you are and that you no nowt. Mate BWitcher knows far more than you about this like we all do. Ask Mark Loram what the riders get for the British Final because i can tell you 100% that back when he was riding there was no contract to do the meeting plus ALL riders were on the same money, thats ALL riders! And if we are assessing stupidity you rank very high on that list I'm not saying he does or doesn't. You're the one stating categorically he does.. Evidence please. He cant and wont provide anything As far as Tai is concerned he is a closed book. He throws in accusations and even brings Rob Woffinden into discussions to try and validate things. Dont waste your breath with individuals like him Evidence is my experience and involvement in speedway for 30 years. Do you really think richard hall & tai would get the same money ? Plus the same add ons. Yes they would get the same money to ride in the event its always been the same. But yes there may be some corporate money going towards Tai to promote it which other riders wouldnt get because they wouldnt have been asked! Ah because you tried and failed to become a rider makes you more knowledgeable does it?? Ive been involved in speedway for 40 years including having very close links to the Loram family so im pretty damn sure i know as much if not more than you how it works
