Workington V Edinburgh 25/04/15 19:00hrs (lc)

I'm pleased Scotchopper posted as he did because it saves me doing it. It's surely obvious that the article on the website isn't a match report as would be produced for Speedway Star, it is comments on the Edinburgh website primarily for Edinburgh fans on how the Edinburgh riders have done. Whilst I have no plans to check, I assume most clubs would carry a similar article in the circumstances, those who bother to do anything anyway.

Time and time again the same characters come piling on to Edinburgh threads to whinge about what a bad lot Edinburgh are, it says more about them than any validity in the comments.

Of course everyone wishes Rusty well.

Sad to hear Rusty took a nasty one last night , we loved having him at Glasgow last year , and who could forget his amazing 17 points at our win at Derwent Park . There were rumours he was going to retire at the end of last season , hope this latest injury hasn't made his mind up and he comes back as good as ever .

3 if,s in the post..1. IF kevin had been riding. 2 .IF workington get 2 away wins. 3 wait and see IF we qualify... yep, deff 3 if,s ... LIVE WITH GLORY AND LIVE WITH THE CRITICISM..

But your 2nd and 3rd if are basically the same thing, a description of how edinburgh qualify for the semi-final. Is describing that really a biased and out of order report? imo if the report did not contain this information it would have been poor, that is the main thing we want to know. Edinburgh in shock tell their fans the main thing they are interested in, outrageous

If were going to start to tarnish every fan with the same brush because of one person, does that mean every Ipswich fan has a weird obsession with Cookie? :)

dont forget fans from Berwick,Glasgow,Newcastle,Redcar,

Peterborough,,Somerset,Workington,

Scunthorpe,Sheffield,Rye House and Plymouth

I've just read that report. Such a bit bunch of bad losers never congratulate the other team. Loads of excuses when they get beat yet the other team is never allowed any! Still at least Cook flew round his old track.......oh wait a sec.

Reminds me of a Scottish Premier League football team, never beaten always cheated.:cheers:

I think Gavan has posted more on Edinburgh threads this year than his own team the witches. Does it come as a suprise though not really.

How many times have you commented on the Glasgow threads?

Nice one Worky, nice one nice , nice one Worky ....ohhhhhh where was Cook last night ......mwahhhhhhhh laffing my backside off!!! So the Smugs would have taken a point if Wolbert was riding yeah righto , since when has he pulled up any trees, you lot are laughable like . We probably won't progress in the LC but Glasgow will and I sincerely hope they whoop your a,,,,

Putting out the blue rope so riders (or should we say a certain no1 rider and not the Worky one ) couldn't get back to the pits to set up his dodgy bikes , lol , won't be long til speedway cops catch up ;-)

Best wishes Rusty marra, speedy recovery mate

Ah edinburgh and cookies number 1 fan Jamlad been a while. If you really think Wolbert wouldn't have scored about double what his R/R got then you need help.

Do you care to back up your accusation of Cook having dodgy bikes and tell us how they are dodgy? (probably not as you just hate the guy)

these rumours about Cookie and his 'Special Fuel' have been circulating for a while surley if he was doing something dodgy he would have been caught by now my personal opinion is Mr Cook isn't cheating he's just a very good rider end of

Best wishes to Rusty for a full and speedy recovery, Edinburgh fans trying but failing again in the fairness League. Admit the defeat and other fans will be more fair wth "you".

Young Nathan Greaves did well to hold off Sedgmen for a Comets 5-1.

Must admit i left after Rustys crash a bit sickening to see right in front of me, plus it was freezing and i thought that would be the last race of the evening.

Please point out who has not accepted defeat, there are no excuses and I haven't seen anyone say we deserved to or should have won. Saying riders underperformed or were missing is not an excuse nor is it not accepting defeat, we had other riders perform better than expected and that has been said as well. What you are basically saying is that if we comment on a match we lost and it is not saying well done to the opponents we are bad losers, nonsensical!

For completeness:

We lost fair and square well done Workington, the Comets are a decent team at home this season and I would have accepted a 10 point defeat before it started.

cookie does not seem the same rider this year, so far his style has escaped him and even when he was leading ht 13 , he wss not his usual self propelled rocket. dont think he has peaked, just going through a funny spell. cook will always be class and long may it continue. dont think the belle vue track suites him at all.

craig will come down in the league and could easily go unbeaten. thats speedway.

cookie showed a lot of concern for rusty during his time in the ambulance. still a good guy. special fuel, dodgy bikes . na, just a bad day at the office.

rusty, however long it takes. get yourself fit and active again, your followers and most importantly, your family need you.
