cookie does not seem the same rider this year, so far his style has escaped him and even when he was leading ht 13 , he wss not his usual self propelled rocket. dont think he has peaked, just going through a funny spell. cook will always be class and long may it continue. dont think the belle vue track suites him at all.craig will come down in the league and could easily go unbeaten. thats speedway.cookie showed a lot of concern for rusty during his time in the ambulance. still a good guy. special fuel, dodgy bikes . na, just a bad day at the office.rusty, however long it takes. get yourself fit and active again, your followers and most importantly, your family need you.

If you had seen him at Berwick he was flying, but have to agree he not so dominant so far this season, keeping the average down maybe,as with last season he is scoring a lot of bonus points though.

I'm pleased Scotchopper posted as he did because it saves me doing it. It's surely obvious that the article on the website isn't a match report as would be produced for Speedway Star, it is comments on the Edinburgh website primarily for Edinburgh fans on how the Edinburgh riders have done. Whilst I have no plans to check, I assume most clubs would carry a similar article in the circumstances, those who bother to do anything anyway.

Time and time again the same characters come piling on to Edinburgh threads to whinge about what a bad lot Edinburgh are, it says more about them than any validity in the comments.

Of course everyone wishes Rusty well.

Thats where your wrong. At my club Ipswich we have match reports and yes it does focus on our riders but it also manages to congratulate the other side and also see the shortcomings of our own side. Right now Hawkins is under fire in the match reports even allowing for his injury. A more balanced article would be to say how Cook and Masters couldnt really dominate and Cook was on the wrong end of 5-1's so well done to Workington.

While a club and SOME of its fans revel in winning then appear sore losers then you will keep getting stick

I think Gavan has posted more on Edinburgh threads this year than his own team the witches. Does it come as a suprise though not really.

Sorry i forgot this was an open forum. Must remember just to post on my own team.

And if you care to have a look ive posted recntly on Swindon, Kings Lynn, Coventry, Poole, Rye House, Somerset and Sheffield but you just stick to your agenda.

It is a forum we are on after all thats what it's for ;)

so you say im on the Edinburgh thread then you comment its a forum! nice contradiction

What is your problem? Why are you so obsessed at what Craig Cook and Edinburgh speedway do?

No problem and not obsessed.

However year after year Edinburgh are up the top of the league and Cook is in the top 3 riders in the league , so as my club is a rival to yours i think i have every right to go on your thread and comment as i see fit.

Do you not like discussing your club? You should be flattered people want to talk about Edinburgh.

All people are commenting on is the lack of grace from a number of your fans who cannot accept a defeat but yet crow from the rooftops when they win

the way i see it, TROLLS don't exist on a speedway forum. we all like to post on each others sites. if we all stuck to or own sites, the speedway would be a lifeless an boring place . no more trolls, just fans having banter. pity some fans don't see it that way.

Fair enough Gav..but all we seem to get from you post after post is negative negative blah blah.. you don't seem to like our club or Craig Cook in particular very much..we get that. However, you seem to lack the good grace you accuse us of not having, and don't give us any credit..To the uninitiated you may come over as a bitter troublemaking anti-Edinburgh stalker you know... ;)

Very disappointing news on Rusty tho, that's gonna put him out for a while but, best wishes for a full recovery young man, best wishes!!

As for the missing supporters Gr8scot, incidents like last night's crash for Rusty doesn't help, no communication with the crowd, "again" as to what was happening, was the meeting going to end there or carry on, was the race previous going to be re run, "how is the guy"!!! yes, we finally got something over an hour later saying the Doctor had wanted quiet to monitor Rusty properly, so why not just put everyone in the picture at that initial point and say, we want as much quiet as possible due to the nature of the injury so you wont hear anything else until further notice, then, everyone knows "why" we are where we are, a few seconds to update and the job's good?

I don't think it takes a rocket scientist to work out that the Doctor must have considered that Rusty was very poorly and at some risk if he asked for quiet so that he could monitor him properly. To someone who wasn't even there to witness how bad the accident was, that statement sends a long and clear message about the condition the Doctor found his patient in! Your comment is churlish at best.

In all fairness, there was a brief announcement when the Music was switched off to say why it had been switched off

It is sad to see the crowds continually dwindling tho' when you think back to when they re-opened......

I see that Erik Riss broke his collar bone in the heat 3 post race celebration.

He rode the rest of the meeting and in a meeting in Germany on Sunday before going to the hospital.

Gutted for the lad.

Me too, Such a simple tumble

Take care lad and get well soon

"Are you on drugs" of course I was there and had a perfectly good view of the incident itself, why do you think I made a comment about it? Absolutely nothing at all wrong with asking why there was little or no clarification of any events, I dont have a problem standing about waiting as long as I know the reason's why!!

Dave Hoggart mentioned that Rusty was conscious but in some pain and that was the last I heard of it so, excuse me if we dont agree on proceedings after that.
