eM_Pe
Beowulf, what's Polish for 'I like this track?' Lubię ten utwór, apparently It's "Lubię ten tor." "Utwór" is also a track, but the one you find on a music CD
SCB
I do like it when a team breaking the rules loses makes me think there might be a god and he believes in fair play.
magnificentseven
Just got in from Lakeside - what a result !! As the riders lined up me and two others of the total 6 Wolves fans there were just hoping PK could win heat 14 and give us a good chance of a point. The track came to us at the right time - we gated in the last two heats and Lakeside didn't when the track was at its slickest. Nevertheless a great performance by PK and Freddie in the last gave us the points. I can't remember the last time we came from 6 points down with 2 heats left to win away, and it was great being there to experience it. PK, Freddie and Lewis were great, Josh tried hard and scored vital points, Musielak came good when it mattered, but Ricky and Jacob struggled. At one stage it was looking like a hefty defeat but turned into a most unexpected win. Wolfie

mdmc82
Sounds like somebody else agrees about the track @MikkelBechJ: Hard to come to our home track week in & out & never the same. Paid 9 in 4 races. Not impressed but we going the right way!
foreverblue
Great result for wolves, PK is amazing and to come back from a poor season like he has shows his character. What has happened to Ellis though, rode for poole at kings lynn thought he looked good and has had some reasonable scores, bit of a mystery why its gone wrong. The Voice Of Reason
Dusty track, wet track, slick track, heavy track. It's not a cliche, it's FACT - it's the bloody same track for everyone! So well done some Lakeside riders - you can look for excuses for your p!ss poor performances all day long. But I do know one thing. In all his years as a rider, I never heard Barry Thomas ever moan about a track. He just got on with life and attacked it to the best of his ability. And from that era, there were many others like him. But those were the days when we didn't have Facebook, Twitter and other options for riders to whinge on. Mr. Bech in particular - basically grow a pair son, or sod off! Edited April 25, 2015 by The Voice Of Reason

marko
Changing my prediction now to 8th place for this club, I have a feel a feeling that with the promotion possibly moving to Kent next season which seems ever more likely in view of recent planning approval conditions on use of the Kent track, this operation will be run into the ground with next to nothing spent on shale. Bech certainly won't last the season, maybe another month and then he will quit or be asked to fall on his sword and some old hand will be brought in on the cheap. Nothing will be said though until the end of the season for fear of alienating what fans they have left. Lastly well done to Wolves, knew PK would do well and well done for sticking it to the people responsible for wrongly sacking him, as they always say, form is temporary, class in permanent!

Mr. Bech in particular - basically grow a pair son, or sod off! Barry Thomas rode for a promoter who in that era was a very good track man and did the job himself. The bikes that Barry rode were not so sensitive to set ups and didn't have constant changes of silencer regs messing things up all the time. In short Barry Thomas rode in a what many consider to be a better Speedwáy era. But times change and we have to work with what we have today. It wasn't just Mikkel. Nobody could have tried harder than Rory last night and when a rider of that calibre can't make any impression after bend 2.something is very wrong. Whichever way you break it down, people are not going to pay 18p let alone £18 to see a meeting on a track like last nights week after week. Bech certainly won't last the season,t!Unless Jon Cook gets a grip the fans won't last the season. mdmc82
Changing my prediction now to 8th place for this club, I always had Lakeside predicted as finishing 7th at the start of the season as thought they had the weakest reserve pairing in the league and also Kennett's away form/post May dip to come. They rely a lot of Lawson. (Granted I had Wolves as 8th but so far proving me very wrong) When you look at the table,Lakeside currently sit 3rd. However I think once every team has raced the same amount of meetings that will change a lot. Lakeside have scored 10 out of a possible 28points. Away wins are going to be crucial, starting tonight at Leicester.
YerRopes
Steve Boxall was injured before he rode for Lakeside which meant they reverted back to their original. It's there in black and white on the BSPA site, the latest teams. Ashley Birks is in the Lakeside team. Steve Boxall is not. Whoops, my mistake and I do try so hard to keep up... Big mistake by promotion to part company with PK and they are reaping their rewards building a team around a GP rider is always dangerous and there appears little else at L/side I am sad to say.Hope things improve for fan's sake always found it a nice place to visit and even seen some good racing there dispite people calling it a "trick track". The poor track conditions are an unwelcome addition to an already flat atmosphere. The long term future of the arena essex raceway coupled with the Central Park rumours, remind me of similar events at another club called the hammers over 40 years ago, when I was just a nipper! SCB
It's alight moaning about the track but the top 5 all did there job (plsu some) the issue is at reserve. Using James Wright whos been going backwards for about 4 or 5 season now and Adam Ellis as number 7 despite knowing he wasn't happy at the club/with the track and wanted away. Lakeside should have let Adam go and picked up a better senior reserve.

When you look at Wolves, 3 of their top 5 only scored 2points each which against teams with stronger reserves would surely be a loss. However they were much stronger at reserve. It would also have freed Adam up to possibly ride for the Panthers, which would have been a great move for him imo..
