BluPanther
I am interested in the decision for heat 15... Has Havvy said why? It's no big deal imo. Bees will easily make the playoffs, the Aces won't...
Bees_Man
We still got three points so no issue
Two minute warning
I was very surprised when they announced King & Kylmakorpi. That said, Joonas was doing great until the track caught him out. Â It seemed a bit gate and go at the beginning of the meeting but as the meeting went on that changed. I think Garrity showed good maturity in his interview with Peter Yorke and he was super fast once he changed bikes. I hope we see more of the same next time. G the Bee
A win's a win I suppose but it would appear we are running a charity for less fortunate speedway teams than ourselves. Â I think we gifted Belle Vue a point there by using JK and DK in heat 15 rather than at least Harris and probably Andersen as well. Obviously we are not privy to what goes on in the pits, but I very much doubt Hans and Harris off 2 and 4 would have been on the wrong end of a 5:1. Â I know it made no difference to our points tally, but why give the opposition the chance of picking up points? A point gained for an opposing team can make all the difference come play-off time.
mdmc82
Many there? Was the track too slick then? I thought the crowd was quite good. I agree at times early on it did seem whoever gated won. Don't know if this was down to the track or riders.
Aces51
Nothing mighty about the Bees tonight. No outstanding riders on either side but solid performances from virtually everyone. Even Nielsen, who scored only one point, was on the pace. The decision in heat 15 was not as surprising as some seem to feel. King and Kylmakorpi had scored as many as Harris and Andersen and on the night were riding just as well as those two. Â It was like being at Belle Vue for the first 7 heats with gate 4 providing 6 winners. Â Overall, a decent match with some good racing on a smooth track. The main difference in the two sides was the reserves. Coventry coming out on top by 13-8.
stevebrum
I am interested in the decision for heat 15... Has Havvy said why? Only watched the updates so hard to know who was the better choices, however looking at the scorers for both sides nobody looked an automatic pick. Can't remember a meeting when nobody scored double figures from either side!
MFE
Good Meeting, but the only problem tonight was with the starting gates where 1&3 were significantly worse than gates 2 & 4 - 32 points against 58, hence the main reason why everyone had middling scores, Gate 1 in particular was awful. Â Nice to see a bit of new shale on the track and congratulations to Margaret Vardy who completed the main match by 9pm. A healthy crowd as well, Belle Vue are always a good draw, so everything is looking good for the Bees.

No programme changes in any of the races. no start line girls. No pre-race startline jingles. efficient and regular track grading - Just like it used to be - and for me was much better for it.
HenryW
Quite clearly by the line up in heat 15 cov were only concerned by the points they would be getting .They still got 3 points so they lost nothing .I really don't like the new rule for the points. If one team is gaining points, the other team should be losing them. It's a nonsense that the home team can go into the last race with nothing to race for points wise, but the away team can still gain a point...
Gemini
No start line girls? I hadn't actually noticed they weren't there. Agree with everything you've said though and well done to the referee for keeping the meeting running smoothly. The only downside was the tannoy playing up again and wasn't working for half of the match on the 3rd/4th bend. Enjoyable match with some good racing so well done to both teams.

I thought the atmosphere was flat again. Not having the start line jingles, modern music and a capable DJ/compare dosnt help. What has happened to Andy Williams as well? Â Having said that, the meeting was ran at a good pace. That seemed to encourage a few more to stay behind for the MDL meeting. Â Comfortable win for the Bees. Agree heat 15 was an odd call, though we don't know why Havvy went with Jk and Danny. Should always be trying to win the last race, it rounds the evening off.
SCB
Have to agree on the time it took to run the meeting. It was run at a pleasant, steady pace with no rushing but equally no waiting around. Wasn't a bad meeting either, the track was slicking than meeting pace but it produced some ok racing. Kylmakorpis gating being terrible and resulting in him having to make a few passes helped! Â Not a classic but certainly nothing at all to complain about. My niece who went to her second meeting of the season enjoyed it and asked when we were going back so they're doing something right! She did comment on Bomber being boring as he was the only rider not to wave at her on the way back to the pit's

mdmc82
Pretty simple really keeps the averages nice and low When asked about it on Twitter, he just joked that teams at the lower end of the table also need points. Also said they already knew the 3points were safe going into heat 15. Â Â Even though top of the table, the atmosphere does often seem flat. I don't think many people respond well to our announcer. I think another person to replace or support him would be a big bonus. Don't miss the start line girls and it proves they are not needed. Robert Lee
A mighty strange one putting Kylmakorpi and King in Heat 15 and that cost the Bees! Â Â Â You have to assume that Havvy owes Chris Morton a favour so gifted him the league point. If not, BV owe us one. Or........the club saved some points money once the match was in the bag. One point to Kylma must pay less than a Harris/Andersen 5-1.

Reckon the reason for the flat atmosphere is that 99% of the fans are more clued up than Peter York, and they totally switch off to his constant rubbish rambling and talk amongst themselves. honestly cannot see why they don't let Dave Hammond do all the announcing. Agree the music could be better though, not much to complain about though this season however.
