Gemini
It now says 26th. That's the problem and what racers & royals is pointing out. It should say 25th.

weatherwatcher
I will start looking at things in a more posative light, when the Lions come to a meeting and start to ride as a team so far this year they have been rubbish. With the performances they have put in so far they desrerve to be bottom of the pile. It is up to DH and Norrie to get their acts into gear and get the team sorted. We have Pederson who may as well not bother being there and one reserve who rode here before, who couldn't handle the tracka nd still can't. Why they chose him beats me. mrcts
Are you basing your comments from a first hand perspective. I thought your wheelchair had broken down so you couldn't get down there this season.
mdmc82
Great guesting by Hans 3,3,6 so far. Bees are really going to miss Hans when we have to go to Leicester without him on 9th May Much better nights for Ellis and Lambert. Vincent Vega
9 pt defeat but another poor away performance from Eddie Kennett. I think its time for him to move on maybe Kim Nilsson aswell. Thanks to Hans Andersen for a great guesting performance good to see Bech and Ellis going well.

weatherwatcher
Not sure when I will get to see the Lions this year as I have an infection in the bones in my toes, still not sure until the next 2 sets of X-Rays, if they have got to amputate my toes or not. I came to the practice day but had to come home again after less than an hour due to the pain. It has been a very bad year so far, really missing my speedway, so the only thing that has broken down is me, not my chair. Good to see that they managed a win tonight, hope that all the team pulled their weight. Would be really good if they did gel together. If not from what DH said there will be some heads rolling. I am feeling as down as the Lions team must be this year, with being bottom of the league again after the management have tried their best to put what looked like a good team together. mdmc82
Bit worrying for Lakeside that they have only 10points from 9 meetings. (Why have they had so many fixtures already compared to everybody else. strange fixture planning)

Bit worrying for Lakeside that they have only 10points from 9 meetings. (Why have they had so many fixtures already compared to everybody else. strange fixture planning) It happens every year with Lakeside.... It usually means that they are in the play off places 'early doors' so presumably helps 'sell the next meeting' as the season is looking like a success... It seems to be year on year that they eventually 'tail off' when the rest of the leagues catches up with them on meetings...

And most years Coventry are the opposite so it looks like they're coming from nowhere but in reality they're just catching up on the meeting everyone else has had. Not so true this year as by next Monday we will have ridden 10 meetings.
WembleyLion
Jim Lawrence the referee I see tonight. I am not a fan of his but fair play to Jim he kept things moving along nicely this evening. Edited April 25, 2015 by WembleyLion
mdmc82
By the 4th May, most teams should have ridden similar amount of fixtures to Lakeside so will give fans more of an idea of how their team is doing. If you went by how many points were scored/lost so far out of available points, table would look like this: Coventry (18/21 - dropped 3pts) Poole. (18/21 -dropped 3pts) Wolves. (9/14 - dropped 5pts) King's Lynn. (9/16 - dropped 7pts) Leicester. (6/17 - dropped 11pts) Swindon. (6/17 - dropped 11pts) Belle Vue. (4/22 - dropped 18pts) Lakeside. (10/32 - dropped 22pts) Edited April 26, 2015 by mdmc82
TMW
Never mind if all the fans turn up on Sunday will they be anything better to see. It was a brilliant meeting and bonus no controversy. If you get the chance to get the DVD do. It was a bit close at times but the Lions never gave up.
Shale Searcher
Yes Tina, it was...... even during the downpour, the track was kept traceable, the tractor put in a lot of laps, and trackstaff stayed out on troublesome areas, kept the shale moving, the surface scarified to stop it turning into an ice rink, the riders didn't even have to have a look when the rain stopped, they could see with the work being done... And it can be done with right attitude.......
weatherwatcher
Really good to see them win, and win convingly, at the moment I can't see when I will be able to come to a meeting. If I go out just walking in the garden the pain in my left foot is just terrible. Waiting now on x-ray results got to have 2 more this month to see if the infection in the bone is clearing up, if not then I am afraid that I will have to have my toe or toes amputated. I have had an open infection on my second toe that was around an inch by three qurters of an inch and it was right down to the bone. Been having it dressed twice a week and lost count of all the hospital appoibntments, all this started from a broken toe 3 years ago. Good to see the Lions have moved up 2 places and are not now holding all the teams up in the league. Lets hope now that the team starts to get it together and starts putting in some good impesive wins at home and away. Hope to see you all soon, but have a long way to go yet, before that happens, my granson is also waiting for us to get to a meeting, as he loves his speedway.
