Czech Sgp Prague

Thankfully an excellent GP on a proper track delivers good racing. Gotta say I'm usually dreading the Czech GP's but this was an excellent race track.

Well do he to Woofy on his excellent win, plus great to see him signing the National anthem with pride.

No doubt plenty will still say he is still an Aussie. PMSFL .

Magic had a brilliant night too. I'm so pleased to see he's recovered from his injury so soon. What a trooper he is.

Just doesn't troop well for Poole. The poor lamb.

Good meeting once the interval had been done. Magic was excellent in the heats but lacked experience and knowledge in the big heats but overall Tai was a deserved winner yet again and quite a few of my non speedway friends are now cashing in on it at 4/1 even though I never put a bet on ..... gutted.

You often see riders brushing off the dirt from their kevlars but to see Tai using his drink to wash all the sponsors logo's on the rostrum just highlights how dialled in he is this season and his obseRvation to detail. It's a long way to go and a six week break to Cardiff where another hand made track will be under scrutiny.

However on the race night Cardiff has done well in the last few years and Tai going into the meeting six points clear will make it even more electrifying for the meeting and hopefully Bomber can enjoy the next round too but will need to have better gating skills than normal.

I am pleased to see Jason Doyle doing well and he is clearly going to be the leading Aussie this year as Holder seems to be a shadow of the rider he was before his crash and it is hard to see him getting anywhere near a top 8 finish this season with a tough line up and AJ also looking like the rider we know he can be.

Tai, Nicki and Hampel to finish top three clear of the battle for fourth to eigth.

Much better meeting then I expected, though as others have said, the first half dozen races were boring. Some good action later though.

I recorded it on Sky (as I usually do). Was watching F1 qualifying, then I watched the recording of Prague, just about got heat 20 watched then turned over for Eurovision which wasnt too bad this year. When it got to the boring results time of Eurovision I turned back to speedway and got the 2 semis and the final, which I watched again on Sunday.

My first trip to Prague for the GP and very enjoyable it was. Wonderful city with loads of character and very friendly people.Well done Tai we all sang the National Anthem along with him. Also following Bomber who was a bit disappointing and Doyley of course who was a tad unlucky to lift coming out of the second bend in his last race which cost him a semi place. Next for me is Somerset Pairs and Cardiff looking forward to that already lol. Prague looking good for next year already methinks.

Date already confirmed for next years Czech GP 25th June

Prague is a great GP to do, lovely city, travel, meals, drinks all very cheap. I have been last year and this, so not yet sure about next year as there is only so many times you can be dragged over Charles Bridge. :D

That looked a good nights racing as well for a change. Prague is a great city.

Nice to actually see a meeting on a track that didn't break up after about 4 races. Just shows what they can do when they use a race track insted of them hiring a plowed field. Tempory tracks are not the way to go. Ok they get the crowds in the venues, but the racing is what people want to see. Not the shambles theygave us on the first 2 GP's

The make or break for temporary tracks surel has to be the British GP (Cardiff) in 6 weeks time.

If the track ruts up and kills the racing, as opposed to riding, I think that could finish off temporary tracks at the end of 2015, or at least put it into motion so it ends when current contracts end.

Having said that, I just feel that Cardiff 2015 is going to be a good one.

Ruts, norbold's holes or no ruts that won't happen. temp tracks in big stadiums are here to stay until BSI call it a day. That's where they generate their income not from selling out the GP to a local club.
