We used to comment on how the speedway got in the way of a great weekend! Went over 3 times with different groups of people and had a great time

customhouseregular
Lovely city and well worth a visit but the track is dire A Belgian GP in Bruges would top it though. I have stayed in Bruges 12 times and adore the place. Throw in a GP and I'll book my ticket.

Humphrey Appleby
Never stopped Latvia,Croatia and even Italy(who might have more than 2 tracks if they are lucky) Yes, but GPs are held at established tracks where the fanbases are in those countries, and they all have a moderately active scene. Belgium has one occasional track and I think runs no more than a couple of meetings a year at best, and even then, I think many of the fans come from Holland. Croatia and Latvia only have one track unless you now include Riga which is also a once every 2 year thing I think? So there really isn't much difference apart from Pavlic has money and I guess someone in Daugavpils has some as well........ Might be being slightly unkind, but the way I always looked at it was Pavlic was trying to buy big meetings for his son.Now there is no similar thing in Belgium, but if they had a decent rider who had a rich father the same thing could happen regardless of how many meetings a year they hosted Edited May 12, 2015 by iris123
Humphrey Appleby
Croatia and Latvia only have one track unless you now include Riga which is also a once every 2 year thing I think? Doesn't Daugavpils ride in the Polish League, so presumably a reasonable speedway scene there? Can't vouch for Prelog, but thought there were a few meetings held there each year. Don't think there's ever been a speedway track in Bruges, or even Brussels for that matter.

Yes and think they rode in the Russian (or Soviet perhaps) league, before that, but still struggle to put a national side out Edited May 12, 2015 by iris123
Honza C50
Ahoj everyone, I'm not exactly a speedway expert, but if anyone has any questions about Prague, getting around, not getting ripped off etc. Maybe I can help... I've been here a while and I'll be in section J.
SCB
Looks like the weather tomorrow for practice will be cloudy and overcast. Raceday looks cloudy and overcast with chance of rain around 5:00pm UK time. It'll rain. It ALWAYS rains on race day of the Czech GP. I went 3 times and got soaked twice and the other time it poured down with heavy rain all afternoon.
SteveLyric2
There's always a shower at every GP - if its not the organisers or promoters, its the riders!!
