Belle Vue V Coventry Mon 20th April

Bees are the bogey team for the Aces. Again a disappointing score from the aces no.1. 10 points from him and it would've been a draw. Friday may be closer than this.

Impressive result tonight. Garrity hasn't shown his best form this season but his score tonight was superb. Sounds like Bomber was on fire again too. All the team chipped in too which is the teams strong point.

Team work. Go Bees! :approve:

I don't expect Zagar and Nicholls to score ducks on Friday though!

Anyone in the know can answer this. Is Zagar on a guarantee? Speedway riders on guaranteed points money doesn't sit well with me.

You can bet just about every single heat leader is on that, its why PK was dropped by Lakeside last season because the points he was scoring on track was not matching up with the money he was guaranteed, the whole thing is penny wise and pound foolish, any money being saved by using the draft riders is being more than offset by chucking money at the heat leaders.

That ends Kelvin Tatums cock and bull theory that riders are paid per point.

Just pointing out that if Zagar had scored another 6 points (giving him 10 overall) from the three rides he did not win he would have had to take points off his team mates so it would still have been a victory, albeit a narrower one, to Coventry.

The season following the "winter of discontent", it was documented a number of times that Peterborough had Nicki Pedersen on 5000 pounds per meeting guarantee. Regards. Alan.

Zagar must be embarrassed tonight, such a poor score from your number one. Coventry were always going to be a serious threat this year with the best reserves as a pair in the league.

Have to say that I was surprised when Coventry had 5th pick in the tier 2 draft and yet we still got Sarjeant, esp when Wolves picked Bates!

Excellent from the Bees tonight on a very dry and slick track.

Harris in heats 10 and 13 sublime.

Garrity well deserved maximum.

Zagars guarantee well earned tonight!!!!!

Peter York is bad, but that plank on the centre green mic pushed him close

Who is that fella???

Had to laugh as his Microphone was as crap as always... :D

As for the racing? Bees were miles better, even when behind they were closing the gap, should p1ss the league this year with that team ..

A couple of very good races from Bomber, and Garrity looks good for a fair few points this year (and good for team spirit too looking at how he was supporting his team mates tonight)..

Scotty was. as always it seems, head and shoulders above the rest of his team and finally I must congratulate Matej, worth the admission fee alone..

(if it had been soddin' free to get in!!) ;):o

Coventry were dominant throughout and fully deserved their victory.

Most races were won from the gate but Harris in heats 11 and 13 and Cook in heat 8 showed what could be done if you went out into the dirt. Garrity deserved his maximum and showed more maturity in his racing than I have seen before and Sarjeant deserved more than 3 points.

For the Aces, Zagar was disappointing, Nicholls and Cook tried hard, Grajczonek didn't score as many as Simon would have done and our reserves lost out 7-15.

I think this Coventry side will take some stopping.
