Glasgow Tigers V Edinburgh Monarchs - League Cup 19th April 2015

Recommended Posts

Get in there Glasgow nothing better than seeing the smugs get beat fair and square by the better team. Where have they gone can't read their comments! And they aren't worried bout Cook's form? The lad has gone as far in the sport as he can and Masters is the better rider this season. Well done Glasgow. As for the Monarchs the rest of the premier league are loving it!

Quick to criticise gav but were where you when he was banging in a max a Berwick last week? Now run along back to Poole thread

Still buzzin' after that today but had to come on and say thanks to George M. Like him I have parked in Walnut Road since we moved to Ashfield but turned up at my usual time today and the place was full!! Thanks for telling the world our secret, George!

Good win for the Tigs after another bad start by the Monarchs, kinda surprised by Sedgy's complete failure. But things like this happen. Hopefully Sedgy,Erik and Rob can do better next time.

I seem to recall the snugs having a laugh at us Tigers for needing a tactical to win at Berwick! Needing a tactical and losing must be pretty grim then????

Cookie was great today also! Looking forward to his excuses! ;)

#givenaseeingtoo.

Game over by heat 12, including a tactical and a gifted win to Two Kevs.

im as quick to criticise as you are to be smug. Cook isn't the same rider at the moment and a max against an average Berwick side who hate your track hardly papers over the cracks. So far in the harder tests he is found wanting. Have you congratulated Glasgow yet?

Well were to start.

Poor performace today by the boys, the dust bowl wasn't the best of places to do it either.

Sedgy needs to have a word with himself that was shocking cost of any chance of getting anything today after that

Only lost by nine and we weren't even at our best today once we get going and the league meeting comes around it will be a differnt story.

Nice to see you have got they tapes fixed though not, fancy new stadium and can't even get the baics sorted. Also the behaviour of a certain glasgow employee at the start gate was emabarring hurling abuse at certain edinburgh riders as they came round and give them all sorts of hand gestures have word.

Oh and I know he got a Max away from home but as I say against the top teams he isn't doing it. Can't wait for Danny to show him the quickest way around Foxhall

so it was poor from Edinburgh not good from Glasgow? There number 1 didn't exactly score well either and a 5-1 in the last flattered the scoreline for you. I'm sure in the league you will get beat by more as Lawson won't be as poor. Shame that you still can't say well done

He blew his engine on friday at Edinburgh hence why he wasn't his normal self today.

You never give him any sort of credit when he does well but your on here in a flash when he doesn't do as well it's as if you actually want him to do bad.

We were a 4 man team! Sedgy, Max and Erik scored 2 between them and they still only won by 9.

Well done glasgow on beating a 4 man edinburgh side by only 9 points. :t:

Seeing i'm in a congratulating mood i'll congratulate Kozza smith on being the most dangerous and out of control rider i've seen and to James Sarjeant on being the best roller in british speedway and getting away with it in every racehe took part as well. People say Cookie is bad well you've not seen this boy yet.

Craig Cook was outstanding at Berwick probably the best visitor I've seen in a long long time

Always know your team has done the business when all opponents supporters can do is single out a scapegoat in their own team and slag off a track.

As for "dust bowl", well I caught you out at the first meeting this season Mr Porkie when you tried to mislead others on the forum.

Photos will be on Flickr later and people can decide for themselves if it was a dust bowl ... anyone want to guess now what the answer is?

You're team (if you can call 4 riders a team) got humped!

I think its fair to say that Edinburgh have some noisy neighbours this season. Will be interesting to read what Blobby has to whine about today.

Quite a lot i see but it is alway's nice when you can win with ease whilst not getting out off 3rd gear.

Congrats to the Weeg on all too rare home victory over the Blue & Gold..and cue mass hysteria & knicker wetting from along the M8 no doubt..a phrase 'One swally does not a piss up make' comes to mind :D Sounds like you caught us on a bad day for a couple of our normally reliable riders..it happens.Justin has been superb for us since signing and i'm sure he's hurting right now, but he'll be back no doubt about that.He had a nightmare in the Somerset leg of the playoff final and then swept to a peerless max back at Armadale,so as i say these things happen. As for the chief Cookie basher Gavan..the usual cobblers i'm sorry to say. What cracks are these?!Every rider has bad days at the office..as for your comment about him being found wanting in the harder tests you obviously havnt seen the many times Craig's been more than up to it.i think you'll find that his record in last heat deciders in finals as well as league meetings is second to no one..you really must do better than that sonny..dear oh dear.. :nono: Enjoy it for now my Glasgow loving chinas. No doubt at all that we'll be back..oh and did you get your starting tapes from the same poundshop as the Poles did in Warsaw for the GP/Farceathon last night?Jeez all that money.. ;)

Thank's blobby i will pass on your congratulations i am almost sure though no i am completely sure that neither will actually give a toss but once we get a real challenge at home i am sure they will both be fine.

A decent meeting in the sunshine today with ht7 the pick as Summers wound in the dud German and got him round the outside off turn 4, crossing the line just as his bike started smoking. Ht5 was also a good one as Morris and Cook swept inside and out for 2 laps before Morris took the advantage.

Glasgow were never really troubled as Sedgmen was remiscent of the Redcar Justin from a few years ago, not gating, not interested and just trundling around at the back. Whilst Masters and Cook stepped up towards the end, Monarchs had little else picking up 9 last places over the meeting. Masters though was illustrious all afternoon.

Had the meeting been closer Glasgow's thrown away points could have been costly. Kozza spinning out in ht6 whilst in third gifted Clegg his only point and Lawson clipping the the fence in ht10 gave the Sour Kraut an easy 3 points. Ht14 was scrappy, Palovaara couldn't get a very slow Branford whilst it seemed Berge never turned on his fuel tap having been pushed out on turn 2.

Another very decent crowd today, the 0131's again travelled in numbers they must've thought a win was on the cards as they wouldn't have otherwise. When they come back in June, Riss will have a new average and one of his team mates at 6 or 7 will likely have been dispensed with.

loving how all tiggers have came out of hiding on facebook not a peep last night after getting beat. Only sing when your winning comes to mind.

PMSL are you being serious here that has to go down as the most hilarious post you have made i feel your pain blobby perhaps some counselling would help .

You have a point but this team is a different class to last year's whilst you lot are still decent it is not as strong as last year personally i think Edinburgh will need to get used too more Ashfield beating's but alway's good to see your reasoned post's maybe you can help blobby with some counselling he is really suffering big time in fact suicide watch may be an idea.
