Not paying to watch badly run amateurism rubbish, end of!

Just because I have a local track doesn't mean I should go. Give me £16 worth of entertainment and I may return. Sad times I'm afraid and I'm not alone in my opinions of this so called promotion!

Agreed sadly.

the refs going to this meeting i do believe ! it seems its getting more and more difficult to obtain texters etc for meetings , or is it because people arnt in the swing of things ? a great job done by all . appreciate every ones input , especially craysue. week in week out , asking the same question and hoping to get a texter for all meetings. sterling work from the lady..

Thanks

Could be an interesting meeting tonight, with two teams who are struggling at this moment in time.

A lot will depend on the reserves I think, especially how well Perks and Lunna go. If they take to the Media Prima Arena then they could be in for a decent night. The last coupel of visits from Scunny Douglas and Jorgensen were the real standouts in my opinion so they will be a miss. Howe has had hit and miss meetings but Auty certainyl knwos the quick way round here.

Lasse Bjerre has been the real standout for us this season, and expect him to hit another good score. Jan rode superbly last week, whilst a week of rest for Matej should hopefully see him fully fit and raring to go. Need Hugh to get going which I am sure he will at some point, and hopefully Morley has a bit better luck this week!

Could go either way. Hoping for that first win of the season, but hoping to at least see an entertaining meeting and no injuries!

Jenga - No much harder than usual to be honest, Redcar is one of those we generally struggle with however as some tracks are notoriously difficult to source texters from.

Thanks for the lovely words though, very much appreciated.

Well, I'll be there, more in hope than expectation. I'm not sure if I'm going to see a speedway meeting or 4 blokes riding round a track. Based on the fact it's a bright sunny day, I'm guessing it going to be 4 blokes riding round a track on a concrete base with dust clouds billowing around. But, Aye Oh, one week it might be different.

The Promotion have managed to loose long term supporters since they have taken over in 2009.

As the years have gone, more fans have decided enough is enough. They have upset many people with their rudeness and blinkered approach to customer satisfaction.

I personally believe that over 300 have stopped going to the STMP between 2009/2013. Cannot comment on last year, as I am one of said few that has stopped attending.

I think it's a lot more than 300, and its still climbing. It's going to take a lot of work to get them back, and I don't think the present promotion are capable of getting them back. I do worry about the long term future.

Sad state of affairs i always enjoy visiting with the comets not because of the result naturally but to catch up with father havvy .Like most clubs attendances are dropping to a degree where promoters quite rightly will not continue to finance the sport out of their own pocket .Glasgow aside how many clubs are on a even footing financially ? I love the sport and have supported the comets through very lean times indeed partly because i wanted to go partly because i didnt want to lose the club .Unfortunately it was lost to the town and i for one didnt think it was coming back .Redcar has a purpose built track with no neighbour worries admittedly they might not be the strongest looking outfit but instead of walking away why not hang in there if it closes you may never get it back again .
