BWitcher
I'm not what you would call a fan of our so called Elite League racing but that was an entertaining meeting.Young pole Tobiasz Musielak was very impressive in what was only his 3rd EL meeting i believe?Definitely a rider to look out for..mentions must also go to Ricky Wells and Lewis Blackbird who were excellent.I thought the meeting came over really well.. Now after my all too rare praising of EL speedway i'm away back to the Premier League section lol.. You mean you watched the Elite League and are now back to the 'so called' Premier League section.. or more precisely, the 'inaccurately' named Premier League section. Back to the so called Premier League . Whatever..we quibble over terms lol..but yeah back to the 'Premier' where i will always think the racing and things in general are better...just my opinion of course I was pleasantly surprised by last nights offering so if this keeps up i may well visit the so called Elite League section more often
dabbsjoe
Thing is Wolfsbane, the promotion and a lot of the fans wanted to see Thorssell as the first name on the team sheet. He had a good season last year, but im still not convinced like Adams, that he is going to be the next "Super Swede". Hes still young,so time will tell. I actually think naming Thorssell so early was actually a mistake for us. His average was over inflated due to riding as second string all last season. This has left us with 2 riders in heat leader positions that should be second strings. it's not coincidence that our best scorers are Wells and PK in the second string positions. ekimba
I notice it still hasn't been explained how James Wight is a draft rider, or have I missed a reply to Blobby's earlier question ?

He isn't, he's on the list of eligible guests to cover for missing draft riders..... I think. Might be mistaken though.

No, you are correct. The tier one list consisted of ten riders and the two not selected, Steve Boxall and Adam Roynon would then go into a guest list to which other riders were added later. The idea is that a pool of riders are created who are deemed to be of a similar standard to riders in tier one. However, other than Boxall and Roynon, they cannot be signed as such. I believe the same applied to Charles Wright in 2014.

Tommy Sweetman
I was alluding to the fact that he's beginning to spake like a local, bit of a way to go until PK standard though Sorry mate misunderstood.Thought you meant Jacob aspiring to be the new PK on track. Yep,hes getting there with the lingo, but both of them have some way to go before they master it like PK,s brother. You could almost believe Michael Max was born and bred in Quarry Bonk.
mdmc82
All four matches at Lakeside this year: 10+1(4), 11+1(5), 10(4) 11+1(4). As I said it is his away form that will let you down
SCB
Lakeside cheating tut tut. Rule state cant have a facility for a rider who had not ridden for you. So no facility allowed for Boxall. Then I look at the GSAs and see not to worry Lakeside have reverted to their previous 1-7 with Birks in the team but that means he should have been riding as he was not riding PL. Once again the rules of the sport ignored. Why do we even bother?

YerRopes
Enjoyed last night's meeting - it wasn't the greatest but had enough in it to keep me interested.. If only Sky could deliver similar week in and week out... Anyway, it was much better than that shambles in Warsaw on Saturday. BTW, I have to agree with BWitcher, the poor track and lack of starting gate didn't call for a walk out by the riders.. I would be most interested to hear Bomber's views on this.. Good weather and no major crashes or incidents with the ref/riders meant it run fast and kept the flow. However that also made it less exiciting. Overall thou, I think it was what needed after Saturdays no show.
