Mildenhall V Kent 19th April

Recommended Posts

They'll be no 'guests' as that facility only available for a missing number one or if two or more heat leaders are out including the no. 1

So R/R for the Kings and that will certainly weaken them considerably.

Looks like the FTs may have replaced Rumsey with Laurence who it might have been thought would be considered by Kent if their three pointers didn't improve.,

Verge certainly did improve on Monday so hopefully Danno will at least look on the pace in this one..

Rumsey to Kent possibly?

R/R really does weaken the kings ,meaning to many rides will be taken by the reserves and Danno who will need to up their game if we are to have any chance of a good result .. I hope the track is in better condition than for the under 21,s last week which was somewhere between very bad and down right dangerous..We need Danno to improve further on his good form at home in the pairs meeting.. I also hope that Adam Shepherd,s bike is firing on all cylinders and they have sorted out his Carb.. Weather looks good for sunday ,and myself and the wife always enjoy the atmosphere at Mildenhall and the fish and chips..

Would like to have gone back to Mildenhall after being there today at the STRA meeting but doesn't look as if anyone I know will be going up from South of the Thames with a spare seat alas.

With Ayres,Kent may of got a point.

Without I fear the Tigers will be too strong.

I can see Kent being a 3 man team - Morley,Shanes and Baseby.

Verge is finding it hard in main body and reserves will struggle big time away from Home.

Good effort from a depleated Kings at Mildenhall i feel had Danny Ayres been fit to ride we would have got something from the meeting as the reserves struggled for points from his R/R rides .Though Jaimie Couzins had his moments and could be improving,,Danno,s points would likely have been more but for 2 tapes exclusions .. At the top end Ben Morley after an unlucky ex in heat one ( many thought Kingston should have gone instead ?) Went through the card with two dominate wins over Fen Tigers no 1 Dan Halsey, but both were great races,,he scored 12 from 5 rides .James Shanes cought the eye with some spectacular rides in his 13 point haul from 6 rides and Arron Baseby scored a solid 8 points ...The track was bad at the start of the meeting but improved as the afternoon progressed.. Final score Tigers 48 Kings 41..It was freezing cold but still enjoyed the racing and the fish and chips.....
