Glasgow Tigers V Workington Comets, League Cup , Sunday April 12th 2015 At 3pm

Recommended Posts

It's the Comets in town at the Peugeot Arena this Sunday , and they always give us problems . No matter what septet they roll up with , Ashfield always seems to suit them .

And a fine looking side they have assembled again this year . Rusty returns , he thrilled us time and time again last year and he's always a popular rider at our place . He's ably assisted by our recent guest at the dump , Kenneth Hansen , and Ashfield experts Ricky Wells and Rene Bach . Kyle Howarth and Nicki Barrett have had decent meetings here in the past too , so we'll need to be on our toes to come out with three points .

Sundays teams -

Glasgow Tigers

1 Richard Lawson

2 Dimitri Berge

3 Aaron Summers

4 Kozza Smith

5 Nick Morris

6 Victor Palovaara

7 James Sarjeant

Workington Comets

1 Kenneth Hansen

2 Ricky Wells

3 Rene Bach

4 Rusty Harrison

5 Kyle Howarth

6 Nicki Barrett

7 Nathen Greaves or guest

Sadly i'll miss this one as I'm away on holiday , but I hope it's cracker and everyone goes away regally entertained regardless who comes out on top .

Workington looked very poor at Armadale last night, though the Edinburgh track can do that to the best of riders in the PL, They will be much more competitive on Sunday that's for sure, Glasgow should win but it could take the big heats to get them over the line, 50 40 to the Tigers.

going to be a tough one on Sunday , Workington have a strong top 5, our top 5 are strong too but they are not quite dialled in yet , The key will be reserves of which we are definitely stronger, think we will win 49 - 41 is my prediction

Workington are not even in the pundits top 6 or so for the play off,s . so what did you expect, worky to come out and give the smugs and tiggers a good going over.

there WILL be better teams going into Scotland and hopefully giving your teams a fight. then there,s rye house , who are proper dark horses this year.

when a team has to change its line up twice before the season starts they are already on the back foot.

the initial team line up would have put m/bra into the ground. but that's speedway.

Well as per Sunday speedway and the rain gods haven't let us down again been wet most off the night but as we speak it is starting to brighten up and the rain has stopped forecast is for sunny intervals with showers so hopefully thing's should be good to go.

Thanks for that Gaz, I'm in two minds partly because of the weather.

Wish we had a micro climate like the oh, so perfect Minions.

It is really brightening up now George which TBF was forecast so get yourself along think with the dry week and the natural watering over the last couple off day's track should be good.

Comets normally go very well here and I'm hoping today wont be any different, certainly believe we are capable of taking points from this meeting with the riders we have, looking for 1 at the very least!! :D

Took your advice mate and have just arrived at Scotland's premier speedway venue.

The Peugeot Ashfield Stadium ... Carlsberg don't do speedway stadiums but if they did ...
