mdmc82
Norrie threatening the riders in today's national sports pages - 2 weeks to improve or else!!!! Think that's a bit unfair esp after only 1 home defeat.
Big Al
Think that's a bit unfair esp after only 1 home defeat. It could be that he's been told by DH to have a dig at them in public. Norrie Allen = the fall-guy? Was considering going along tonite, just to fritter away £17 or whatever and see for myself if the claims by some on here, that the racing is better now, are really true. But the Elite League, in its so predictable way, has once again produced absent riders who have better things to do on a Saturday, and seriously devalues the product. It makes you wonder how many times "top" riders will have other things to do which are more important, or come down with a "virus" when it comes to showing up at Leicester on a Saturday. It's a bit of a con, aint it?

I know it makes it harder arranging fixturez on a sat when have GP riders in teams but surely there must have been a better date for this meeting when Zagar wouldn't have been missing?See it's R/R for Zagar Leicester still to announce a guest for no 2. Does that mean Rory is busy 😂 Edited April 11, 2015 by mdmc82

John Leslie
The bloke is a clown. Not really. They're racing against a team tonight without their GP rider and their best Leicester performer. So when Leicester get a massive win, Norrie Allen will be able to pretend it was all due to his motivational speech/threats.

Michael Lee tried that one with Mildenhall but it was short lived
weatherwatcher
It is totally wrong for Norrie to go clap trapping his mouth off to the press. What he really needed to do was get all the riders together somewhere nice and quite, before the meeting tonight, and as a good team manager should do, tell them all what is expeted of them. Not a very nice thing to see when a manager slags his team members off to the press. Maybe he hasn't got the nerve to stand face to face with them. What this could really mean, is that Norries days with the Lions are now numbered. I was suprised when he as asked back this season, not the best speedway manager by far.

John Leslie
Still no news about guest? Leicester know they will win easily, so why pay for a guest when they can use the cheaper R/R option?
Rob B
Leicester know they will win easily, so why pay for a guest when they can use the cheaper R/R option? Apparently it's Robert Lambert
mrcts
Norrie threatening the riders in today's national sports pages - 2 weeks to improve or else!!!!I love Norrie he's one of the few managers who tells it like it really is......if under performing riders don't like it perhaps they are in the wrong profession. mikebv
Just heard from someone there that the crowd is a bit sparse... Hope many have stayed away deliberately given the disdain those who organised this meeting showed the supporters... However, that said, if they hadn't put together such a ridiculous situation I would have been there spending lots of cash rather than being at home in the warm as I am now, watching some good speedway racing from Germany whilst enjoying a couple of bottles of ice cold chardonnay... For considerably less cash than I would have spent at Leicester too.... Cheers.... Edited April 11, 2015 by mikebv
bellevueace
I was going to this meeting as well until yet again we have a decimated team and even have to have a guest manager. It appears nigh on every meeting around the country nowadays goes ahead with either a guest/s and/or R/R, the sport seems hell bent on alienating the few diehards left that actually still pay to go to tracks, we,ve not even had a home meeting yet and already i feel disallusioned and fed up with it all, thats the first time in 47 years ive ever felt like that, ourselves and Swindon might have brand new stadiums for next season at this rate there will be no one to fill them the so called Elite is anything but, mind looking on the bright side i saved a stack of money. mdmc82
Belle Vue putting up a really good fight at the moment. Not a lot in it
orion
For all the stick Belle Vue get the bottom line is that you can't run Weekend speedway at the top level in the uk without this thing happening nearly all the time . Ok Zagar and Cook might have been there another sat but when they can make maybe some of the lions might be missing . You only have to look at the sides that turned up at Eastie in the last few years to understand this is what's happens all the time .
