CB252
Is Doyle missing the Pairs to ride in this, or will it be a 6 point PL rider at no 1 for Lions? Where's Zagar? Lost interest already?

SCB
Why the hell has a BV meeting been arranged on a day Zagar has a prior commitment FFS?! This is why people get pissed off. Out of 20-odd Saturdays they pick one Zagar can't do!

So we should have gone and got a decent guest which would have helped us bit every rider we asked can't do it so we are left with R/R

Aces51
I guess there are quite a few Saturdays that Zagar would miss??!! But more than enough when he will be available. Madness to go without him and Cook, a Leicester specialist and former track record holder.
SCB
I guess there are quite a few Saturdays that Zagar would miss??!! Great, so find one where both he and Craig Cook are not missing. It's not hard. I've built a fixture complier that you put in all the dates a club want to ride home meetings, all the dates clubs cannot ride and it compiles the EL and PL fixtures with no clashes. It takes about 20 second to run once you have put the date in. Yet nobody at the BSPA can manage it. And my system prevents any team having at any time more than 2 more home fixtures than away or vice versa and having more than 2 fixture more than any other team. So all nicely spread out and even. Popular Post mikebv
Why the hell has a BV meeting been arranged on a day Zagar has a prior commitment FFS?! This is why people get pissed off. Out of 20-odd Saturdays they pick one Zagar can't do! beat me to it mate...! this very situation sums up British Speedway's self inflicted death of a thousand cuts perfectly... I presume the Slovenian championship was already on the FIM list pre the Elite Leagues fixtures so it was there for all to see so why did one promoter suggest the date and the other (even worse) agree to it!?. And even if it wasn't already scheduled pre the Elite fixtures, I am sure there are 'one or two' Elite League teams without a Slovenian No1 in their ranks that could have rode instead when the issue was eventually spotted, (and the Aces then race on another Saturday when Slovenia (and Edinburgh) don't need 'their men'..!! So instead of an attractive fixture between two full strength teams we get a 'watered down' pale imitation of what the meeting should have been.. Speedway is a dangerous sport so 'guests' and 'RR' impact far too many meetings already through injuries, so what a great idea it is to prevent a full team taking to the track by simply planning a meeting on a night that 100% means riders missing!! The most annoying thing is that I was going to go over to Leicester with my lad and his mate because this meeting ticked a lot of boxes.. Early season fans 'optimism' and rejuvenated interest following a winter of no speedway. Saturday meeting so no mad post work rush to get there. No school the next day so getting back late not an issue for the kids. Two (on paper) evenly matched teams both of whom touted for the Play Offs with GP riders on display (oops).... It should have been a potential 'must see' for many neutral fans in the midlands area, never mind Leicester and BV supporters. And the best of it is, any promoters reading this (if any do come on here) will think I am mad for now saying 'sod it' and giving it a miss and deciding not to part with the best part of £100 inc petrol!!!! What they will also fail to understand is that this kind of nonsense then defines your thinking for the rest of the season, and you quickly then lose that 'optimism' and start to say 'sod it' to many other meetings as you become more and more disaffected by the ludicrous decisions which seem to get made in ever increasing numbers as the season moves on.......... British Speedway eh? Bloody Hell.....! .

SPD444
As well as Zagar and Cook I believe Mr Lemon is also absent on international duties?
Woz01
As well as Zagar and Cook I believe Mr Lemon is also absent on international duties? What a complete shambles, surely different opposition should be riding on this date instead. It's not that hard is it?

Maybe leicester can loan Norrie to BV for this match to give the lions a chance of winning
weatherwatcher
I think gone are the days when a fan turned up to a meeting to see his team, only now to find that there is only one rider in the team riding and all the rest are guest riders. SCB if your software really does what it says on the tin, then then you should get in contact with the SCB and BPSA and tell them what it does and then hammer out a decent price for it. Funny though I bet they don't even care that this is happening week in week out. It is a case of well the fans will turn out to see the meeting no matter who rides, it is time to say if they can't give a monkeys then we will stay at home until you sort things out and get a full team every meeting, bar injuries that is. ouch
I don't think they would want to change the system to be honest. How many Slovenians ride in our league? Who recently held the track record at Leicester? What team do they both ride for? Some would say, job done.
Shale Searcher
Well, it is gonna rain, it will start around 4am, light at first, becoming heavy for a time before disappearing around 09:30-10:30 Will actually aid track prep..... no problem Robert72
