Vissing is pretty handy round there and I reckon Nikolaj will enjoy it. The rest will struggle. Reckon we're looking at around 32 points. Write this one off and try and take something away from Ipswich & Plymouth

Vissing, Aspegren, Mellgren and Boxall have all scored well at the OTA in the past, so it wouldn't surprise me to see the Rockets get a point here at least. Shame there's no Kennett, but this is still a much stronger Rockets team than in recent years. Rebels to win, but by less than 10!

Mellgren, and Aspegren especially, are normally very good here. Aspegren is usually superb round the fence and in the mix.

Boxall has been garbage whenever he's been here since his short stop as a Rebel before.

Boxall is suffering from his usual bike problems. Was riding a tractor on Monday. Needs to sort himself out if he's gonna score points at this level.

Vissing in for Kennett makes the Rockets stronger imo and i expect him to hit double figures from 5 starts, Danes generally go well around our place even if they haven't seen the place, still fancy us though by about 12. If Worrell and lanham continue their improvement could be a few more.

Three fruitless visits to see the Rockets there, three pathetic performances. Cutting down on away meetings with the arrival of the baby. Only doing the PL there this year.

Best of luck if you go. You never know.....

Somerset web site says only Kennett missing, but no surprise if reserves absent as well. OT will be missing.

RYE HOUSE PRESS RELEASE

::::::

Rockets Go Down Fighting

Somerset 52 Rye House 38

(League Cup; Friday, April 10th 2015)

The Restart Rockets may have left for home without any material rewards but they still took away more than a few positives from a battling 52-38 defeat at Somerset in the League Cup.

The Oak Tree Arena has been an absolute graveyard for the Rockets in recent times – their best result from three visits last season was a 62-28 hammering – but they were far more composed here, briefly taking the lead thanks to a 5-1 from guest Claus Vissing and Robin Aspegren in Heat 5 and holding the Rebels to a narrow 28-26 margin at Heat 9.

Ultimately, the Rockets were unable to match their hosts for sheer firepower, and a record of four race wins tells much of the story, but they still emerged with credit thanks to solid hauls Nikolaj Busk Jakobsen (whose first ever visit to the circuit netted 8+2), Aspegren (6+2) and Steve Boxall (also 6+2).

Rye House team manager John Sampford was proud of his side afterwards. “We held them tight for the first nine races and it was only in the second half that they pulled away. We certainly gave them plenty to think about, and we were disappointed not to get to 40. After three drubbings here last year, we showed that we can compete with them at this place.

“I couldn’t have asked for any more from the team. After Monday’s frustration against Peterborough, this has hopefully been a boost to our confidence, and we can take things up to another level against Plymouth tomorrow (Saturday at 7pm).”

Rye House scorers:

Claus Vissing (guest) 9, Nicolaj Busk Jakobsen 8+1, Robin Aspegren 6+2, Steve Boxall 6+1, Anders Mellgren 5+1, Alex Edberg (guest) 3, Dan Greenwood (guest) 1+1

Somerset scorers:

Brady Kurtz 13+1, Josh Grajczonek 11+1, Leigh Lanham 9+2, Richie Worrall 8, Paul Starke 6+1, Charles Wright 5+1, Benji Compton 0

Match Points: Somerset 3 Rye House 0
