ashtree123
Why were you disappointed Star Lady with Young Roberts performance. I was there in the blustery wind cheering on the Panthers and thought he rode well, His first race Blackbird took him too wide, when they could of been on a 5-1 His second race The Fish over took him but he still tried to chase him down His third race he won His fourth race he won Heat 15 was a brilliant race were you could throw a blanket over all four of them. He was consistent in all his rides. I do not come on here very often as I am not very technical, I have to get someone younger than me to help. I do not like it when people are disappointed with the riders who put so much effort into there riding, I do feel sorry for young Olly he was really trying hard yesterday, maybe a little bit too much, Riders are going to have off days, I have been going to speedway for over 40+ years now, and still enjoy going to watch So lets get behind the team weather they win loose or draw, and weather riders have a good meeting or not it still great entertainment.
mudflaps
I think that every situation I have seen similar to this with a rider lying on the track in the 1st/2nd bend area and the others about to finish the last lap, the red lights have come on prior to riders finishing the race so that they have slowed before passing the prone rider. Didn't happen in this case, bit of an unusual one IMO totally agree.... potentially very dangerous situation for Morton and the Panthers boys.... Star Lady
Why were you disappointed Star Lady with Young Roberts performance. I was there in the blustery wind cheering on the Panthers and thought he rode well, I did say I was slightly disappointed and that it was probably more my expectations than his performance. Having watched him in away matches last season and on TV beating GP riders, I stupidly expected him to beat fellow PL riders, so I hold my hands up it was me not him I had the feeling especially in heat 15, which was an absolute stormer, that he was not about to take any unnecessary risks because as you say there was very little room for any of them to manouver and I applaud him for that, as you say it's a long season and an even longer career. Having said that in his other races he didn't seem to hold back. I certainly intended no criticism of Robert Lambert, who I've admired every time I've seen him race and I've always said I hope he is allowed to progress at his own speed. So I've smacked my own wrist for expecting too much too soon. Incidentally I viewed the match as a neutral and thoroughly enjoyed it despite some comments on here I thought it was a really entertaining affair. I was also delighted to hear the Boro team manager say that their job was to ENTERTAIN and to win. Pity a few more don't share that view. I expect to make quite a few more trips up the A47 this season. Edited April 13, 2015 by Star Lady
proud panther
We need to prepare a more consistent track, because the last 2 meetings it has been very different. Credit to Plymouth, who rode well, but think our boys prefer it when the track is ripped up a bit more.

mudflaps
any thoughts re Greenwoods exclusion in heat 7..? I was standing on turn 1 and Newman definately nudged Greenwood into the airfence.. It was all four back or Newman excluded in my eyes! Pantherman
any thoughts re Greenwoods exclusion in heat 7..? I was standing on turn 1 and Newman definately nudged Greenwood into the airfence.. It was all four back or Newman excluded in my eyes! We were standing on the back straight and Olly did get a nudge, not dirty riding by any means, but it was enough to unbalance him enough to fall. We thought it would be all 4 back. Also I was impressed with Kyle Newman, really improved since I last saw him race, and Jack Holder looks promising. Happy with the win though, track was to slick for our riders
stevehone
if a team turns up and the track is that slick again, it will certainly give confidence for away points .. don't think the riders were too happy about how different it was to the Ipswich meeting
Lukas
Its hard for a track not to be dry in 50mph winds and sun..I didn't think it was too bad considering and there was some decent racing.

There's always some excuse for it being slick because it always will be. Edited April 13, 2015 by Crump99
proud panther
We have got a lot of Sunday meetings, so the management need to find somebody who can prepare a track for an afternoon meeting. Most of the riders mentioned the track when they were interviewed, & were less than complimentary about it.

Probably Jenga with a smaller carrot for the northern oracle! Edited April 14, 2015 by Crump99
