Edinburgh V Workington (lc) 10/4/15 @7.30pm

Recommended Posts

So we start our league cup campaign against the workington comets. Both teams should be at full strength for this one.

Teams for Friday.

Edinburgh

  1. Craig Cook
  2. Justin Sedgmen
  3. Kevin Wolbert
  4. Erik Riss
  5. Sam Masters
  6. Max Clegg
  7. Rob Branford

Workington

  1. Kenneth Hansen
  2. Ricky Wells
  3. Rene Bach
  4. Rusty Harrison
  5. Kyle Howarth
  6. Nicki Barrett
  7. Victor Palovaara

Think it will be a home victory but a close one. Hansen, Wells and Bach can all score points round the Dale and Howarth and Harrison can also win races on their day. Hopefully Erik can get score some points and Kevin now with his new engines can get out the gate this week.

edit - Palovaara replaces greaves (injured)

Palovaara for Greaves makes the comets a lot stronger. he will score at least double what greaves would of got. Can see the comets getting a point tomorrow night.

You trying to increase the turnout 36 for Worky will be good

This is where the new rule falls on it's arse , how many times will reserves be suddenly ill or injured to be replaced by better riders, the promoters will soon cotton on to this lurk.

Wasnt there also a seven day rule or something.

I'm not doubting Greaves injury just pointing out that the new tule can be easily manipulated , and don't for one minute think they won't.

I'd love to share your optimism Jenga but I can't see Cookie or Masters getting beaten tonight. Wolbert will probably find his new engines as well and a healthy beating is on the cards. All I can hope for is no injuries and a bit of fight from our lads for any brave supporters venturing north.

Cant bring myself to visit this place twice in one season so I'l leave it to the league  . Can never see anything but a home win by any team going to the trick track of the north so I'l just hope for no injuries and a good display from our boys

Stay Safe Guys :t:
