Baldyman
Don't know what meeting you were watching, cos they were dire, and gino scored 4 and rohan 5. Don't know what score chart you have been looking at.
ZODIAK
Yes apologies bit of a brain fart should have ready Roland's post more carefully! A home meeting is a lot different from an away meeting though so I'll be shocked if we throw in the same kind of performance we did at Peterborough. No doubt the Peterbrough meeting knocked us down a peg or two, so I think we need a convincing win tonight to restore a bit of faith and confidence amongst the supporters. Got to be honest this Somerset team doesn't look all that inspiring to me compared to previous seasons. No doubt they'll probably win now tonight with Worrall scoring a match winning maximum! Super Blue
Anyway, it's meeting day and although a bit foggy around Ipswich this morning there doesn't appear to be any apparent weather issues for those planning on travelling any distance. Personally I'm looking for a good response after Mondays abysmal performance by the majority of the team.
Baldyman
I still think Ipswich will win pretty convincingly, okay not as well as previous seasons but by enough, somewhere around 16 point win. The track prep could determine how big our win is.
Pob
Question , i know in the past during the summer hols for the kids Ipswich let kids in for nothing when with an adult . The kids were let in for nothing on good friday but does this apply for all meetings during school holidays or just during the summer months ?? Only asking as my twin girls aged 10 have taken a keen interest in the sport and are very keen to come to as many as they can school permitting . crazysue
Looks like I may well be Billy no mates tonight as the person who usually goes to speedway with me has been making noises about not being able to afford it this week...so if anyone wants to pop and have a (admittedly disjointed and between texts) chat, then please do so. Bringing a cup of tea might be most welcome too as I struggle to get one when I am on my own, of course, I will pay for it if you do! Good thing about going to Peteborough on monday was the price for an adult and child! only £15 compared to £20 at Foxhall. That extra £4 does make a different to the fans, and charging for kids is a short sighted by all promotions! Ipswich and Workington being the 2 clubs at PL level charging the most at £4. In fact only Poole i the EL charge the same! crazy!
Willowman
...so if anyone wants to pop Ouch, sounds painful. Bloatedness in the extreme. Not sure you will get your cup of tea if that happens. Really hoping for a much better performance from the Rebels tonight. Would do team confidence the world of good.

Thanks Beerhut thought that might be the case oh well they wont go to many meetings outside of the summer hols due to school anyway but saving myself £8.00 would have been nice . They have only been to a couple of meetings and love the noise of the bikes and think the novelty of when i tell them their grandad used to work on the track. crazysue
I'm not going to be a Billy no mates! Fog is bad here about 10 miles away, no idea what it is like in Ipswich though.

Peterborough also only charge the concession rate of £10 for anyone registered disabled which Ipswich don't offer. The Ipswich concession rate is also £3 more at £13... 2ndbendbeerhut
Next generation Witches supporters in the making Which may be lost as: 1- Rather spend "their" £4 on something else 2- Dad may not be able to afford the £24 entry he now has to pay for "his" entry This then may have a knock on effect as you then only attend 2 out of 3 meetings ( 3@ £16 or 2@ £24) 3 -Thats if they don't find something else to do until they are able to go in July.... Plus don't forget that the meetings seem to drag on which is not great on school nights and not great when cold. And all because the promoters would rather get £4 here and there rather than look at the big picture! Especially for Mr Baldyman fro todays Ipswich star: Rohan Tungate has told Ipswich Witches fans not to be worried over his early-season form. The Kurri-Kurri-born rider has yet to get going in 2015 and was one of a number of riders who endured a tough night at Peterborough on Monday. But he’s confident things are about to come good, as the Witches entertain Somerset Rebels in the League Cup on Thursday night at Foxhall. “There are no worries,” said Tungate, pictured above. “My visa arrived on Tuesday which is good news and I’ll admit that has been a bit stressful knowing when it will come through. “I didn’t get on well at Peterborough but the track really wasn’t to my liking. “It’s early days in the season and fans must not be concerned. I’ll be ok.” Tungate is expected to ride for Australia in a Best Pairs event in Germany at the weekend, with Chris Holder and Dakota North. “If that happens it will be good,” he said. “It’s nice to be involved in those type of meetings.” Back at Foxhall tonight and two former Witches will look to put a spoke in the wheels of the Suffolk side. Leigh Lanham and Richie Worrall both now ride for Somerset and have made good starts to the season – especially Lanham. The Rebels have already won a League Cup away clash – at Peterborough – and have picked up a point at Plymouth. However, their record at Foxhall last season was shocking – although they have made several changes to their team line-up from 2014. Josh Grajczonek leads the Rebels this year and is backed up by exciting Aussie star Brady Kurtz. Teams Witches: D King, R Hawkins, G Manzares, C Heeps, R Tungate, S Nielsen, N Covatti. Rebels: J Grajczonek, C Wright, R Worrall, L Lanham, B Kurtz, P Starke, B Morley. Mike’s prediction: Witches 48 Rebels 42 League Cup Group South – only winner definitely qualifies for semi-finals Rye House 4 10 Somerset 4 7 Peterborough 5 6 Ipswich 3 4 Plymouth 2 3 These lineups are different to the "expected lineups" on ipswichwitches.co Edited April 9, 2015 by 2ndbendbeerhut
Baldyman
Well at least this early seasons form is because he was stressed, unlike like his early form last season when he just couldn't be bothered. I wonder what next seasons will be. Anyway, as we all know, he will come good , probably starting tonight, as long as the track is to his liking, obviously. I'm sure tonight's track will be perfect for him, as long as he don't go to wide like last week. Looking forward to tonight, good weather to produce an awesome track, and hopefully some good opposition giving our boys a stern test which they will come through with flying colours with some amazing passing maneuvers and full throttle action. Cliffeboy
Traditionally a tough gig for the Rebels although Doyley never had much trouble so not really expecting much tonight. However Lanham and Worrall could endear themselves to the Fans with a good show regardless of the score. Cant see anyone troubling King who is in great form at the moment , Tungate due a good one aswell so could be an uphill battle.

Baldyman
Ha ha, you are funny. Am I not allowed an opinion?even if it may differ from most people's? If you don't wish to read any of my opinions in think you will find there is a block button somewhere, it's pretty simple.
