Swindon V Lakeside Thur 9th April

Recommended Posts

Personally I think the combination of Hans, Nicholls and Blackbird are stronger than Adrian & Wright (maybe not Batchelor)

Agreed & àlways good to see our championship winning skipper Hans back as a Robin.

Be interesting to see if Killer does come in after that though.

I'm thinking of making my first ever visit to Swindon for this match. We normally like to stand on the first bend and may have a pram.

Any advice on the stadium, good places to watch, food etc.

We'll be shopping round Swindon in the day and travelling from the town centre, is 6.30ish the best time to arrive?

Thanks in advance.

It been a very busy start to the season for Lakeside as this will be their 5th meeting (3rd away) whilst only the 2nd for swindon.

Any word on who guests for Rose?

There's a match race at 18.30 between Martin Ashby, Barry Duke, Mac Woolford & Martin Satchell & the winner rides at reserve:-)

Not sure on best time to arrive as I am usually later.

As for standing the home straight into first bend is concrete with food kiosk in the first section of the stand. There is usually a sweet stall a bit further on too.

The rest is grass banking. There is also a burger van on second bend.

Not forgetting the back straight 'luxury loos'. :D

Predicting a easy home win for Swindon esp with the strength of guests they have. Lakeside have struggled so far away from home. (Think Lakeside will win return leg though)

More importantly though, I hope all the riders have a safe meeting.

Gates open at 6.30 and so are the pits from 6.30 till 7 so if you want to visit the pits then 6.30 is a good time. If I was you I would grab some food in town.
