Robert Lee
I was writing Sunday's sermon yesterday evening and as I typed thoughts about 'a camel passing through the eye of a needle' my mind was taken to tonights meeting between these two great clubs where 'passing' should be applauded and 'needle' must be avoided. As to the camel, well I think I will liken this to the losing team manager as he will certainly have the hump. To all of you going or participating, have an enjoyable and safe evening. And just in case you wondered I favour the Bees 47 - 43. Blimey ! Managed to get the gist after reading this for the 3rd time with the aid of a cold towel round my head. Glad I'll be missing the sermon.
Pirates Of Poole
This one is going to be tight but i am going for a narrow Poole win. If Hans gates like he did last night he will be hard to beat.

Jacques
Heart says Coventry, head says Pesky Pirates. I would have been more confident if Poole hadn't got rent-a-guest, but I still reckon we can do it... Bees win for me, albeit a narrow one

Game On
Does anybody remember if Heeps has ever ridden at Brandon before? Not sure but i saw him at Leicester and he can gate that's for sure, he would have got another 3 points at Leicester but Garrity stuffed him up.

Woz01
Bizarrely it's just starting raining in Coventry. Doubt it will amount to much.
Game On
Well i really hope the Bees can pull this one out of the bag as it's going to be a tough one maybe a last head decider i think.

Game On
Pouring with rain in the City Centre. That may make the track interesting.
mdmc82
Really crazy. NO weather forecast predicts rain and yet just its raining! Hope it stops soon. Edited April 10, 2015 by mdmc82
SCB
Starman will be going mad! Fancy that, making the track wet.

Woz01
Sun is back out. Local weather guy called it a "rogue shower" as it wasn't expected at all.

SteveLyric2
You must be one of a very small minority who don't feel that guests and doubling up are bad news for speedway then and make a mockery of the sport. Last years play offs for example, we knocked out Swindon, then 2 of our riders ride for Kings Lynn in the other semi final. That's laughable in itself, but then 2 of the Swindon team we knocked out pop up again in the final riding for Poole. And we wonder why fans walk away from the sport never to be replaced. But you keep burying your head in the sand if you like. Not at all. Last year's playoff guest situation was crazy BUT the BSPA have taken note of it and put in place an alternative. I would much prefer a situation without guests or doubling up, but what are the options?? I try not to criticise without suggesting a viable solution but I don't believe there is one. There have always been guests. Doubling up/down has started to be limited and controlled more. What else do you suggest? How else are clubs expected to cover for missing riders? Woz01
Does anyone know if the track caught any of the downpour? In Wyken where I live the rain was minimal I very much doubt the track will be affected.
mdmc82
Does anyone know if the track caught any of the downpour? Was only a quick shower. With all the sun we have had this week, the track will need watering anyway.
