Coventry Bees V Poole Pirates 10th April 2015

Also, the number one is an embarrassment and should have been put in the stocks on the centre black after the match!

Worst performance from a Bees number 1 in the history of the club (including Kasprzak 2013 model).

Well he rode fine for Swindon last night :D

Unfortunately bike problems happen. Hope Swindon paid him ok for guesting last night as wasn't that one of the reasons he left 😄

Magic has a badly swollen knee from his clash with Harris and Kacper a painful arm from his fall.

Updated on Twitter that neither are serious and both will be fine for Wed.

Are you actually being serious? One loss and you write the whole season off. This was always going to go one way or the other. I'm not defending Hans as that was shocking but are you forgetting Saturdays result already?

For God sake one loss and you've written off a whole season. Pathetic.

I dont respond to him. Just a post to cause a reaction.

I must be one of a few that thought is was a decent meeting overall, several passes and dodgy decisions. It did drag on a bit though. Harris looked super quick, only if he could gate. Sarjeant also unlucky when he went down, that would've been a superb opening lap move.

Shocking display from Anderson, what was up with him? Just wasn't interested all night.

Will the management be using the point to play with and make a change at No.2...

One bad meeting and you hang the guy. His previous scores this season have been 12 +1, 7+1 and 10+3. Hans always gives 100% but he had bike problems all night.

Doesn't help dropping only 1 point the night before when guesting though. His score was the difference in winning and losing unfortunately. Luckily he shouldn't perform that badly again.

Last night doesn't mean a thing. Different day different track. He had bike problems tonight, simple as that, so look forward to the next one. He has been a good No1 all his career but everyone has an off night.

Real fans shouldn't be so fickle.

With the new format even number ones can have the odd shocker, and hans would have scored as many as holder if not for ef. Schlein and newman were really where poole won it, coventry hl actually matched pooles, albeit from a couple more rides.

good to see starman has ditched "not dancing to anyones tune" as his catch phrase in favour of sheep comments. Wonder what he will come up with to use in every post next week.

Early days yet and early season throws up a lot of inconsistency ...it's too early to judge anything totally yet...

One thing is true though....Newman is the best fast track reserve and I don't know why many on here can't see that or refuse to see that.

Newman is certainly the best around Brandon, Sarjeant and Garrity didn't have the best night to be fair. Sarjeant improved as the night went on beat Newman in heat 12 and possibly in heat 8 too if he made that opening lap move stick, unlucky to tangle with Joonas. Garrity also unlucky to get excluded after passing Newman.

I thought we would've got more from our reserves and maybe unlucky we didn't but overall Poole just about deserved the win despite our bad luck, the opening 5 heats did the damage. Onto the next one to claim the points back!

Newman and Blackbird were the best last year as well which is why a lot of people were annoyed that they were ranked so low on the draft order which Meant Wolves and Poole got first picks in 2nd tier.

.

That's why I think all the negativity is uncalled for. Even with our no 1 having a dreadful night and lots of exclusions, we still only lost by 7. If Watt had been there instead of Rory, the score would have been very different.

What you don't know - you make up! As you are aware, Swindon had a choice to make and Killer got the nod which is why Hans moved on or he would still be at Swindon - it was nothing to do with money or even down to Hans!

I'm very surprised with the negative reaction on here against him as he would be the first name on any team that I would build. He has the odd howler (like any rider) but is generally a solid scoring number 1 and he has been very loyal to British Speedway and contributes well to the team off track too.

Get behind him as there isn't a better option available!

Maybe somebody needed to tell Hans that was why then as after riding for Swindon he often complained that they expected you to ride for free and then his rant on Twitter during the dinner dance about their fans not appreciating him (something to do with not being in their top 3 riders of the year) gave the impression he didn't want to return.

PK wasn't returning this year and Swindon were at a loss this year so sure if he had wanted to return he would have.

He seems to enjoy riding for the bees which is why he returned again this year. Harris always guests well for teams, the same as rory. That doesn't mean he wants to join them lol.

I do agree that 1 bad meeting doesn't make a bad rider and fans need to take the rough with the smooth. Holder wasn't a lot better but don't see the Poole fans slating him. Riders will have off nights.

On to the next meeting.

No, and you won't find any. Chris came through the meeting, thats all we could ask. He was very apprehensive about going back after what happend at your place two year ago, and nobody could really blame him. Now all you have to do is fill that bloody ditch in on turn one... ;)

Im working on another word for the week. Watch this space... ;)

I, for one , was one of the Bees fans last night frustrated with Hans during the loss last night as he did have a shocker! and had he scored the points he normally scores we could and maybe would have won.

However, having slept on it and now put the frustration of the loss behind me, one bad night at the office does not make a bad No 1 and Hans is obviously normally a really class act - hence the frustration last night for both the fans and himself no doubt!

He will bounce back I am sure and continue to get the backing from all true Bees supporters.

As for last night - damage was done in the first 4 heats lost by 6-18 Score following those heats was 35-30 to the Bees including a couple of dodgy decisions by the ref and also some unfortunate ef on the night - so some positives to take ...

Cheers
