kelvinht
Agreed re the programme, if Buster doesn't want to have any input into the programme, don't bother at all having a column. It's a pity that whoever produces the programme doesn't proof read it better too. It was the bit about welcoming riders from the 'visiting team'.....could have least have put 'Belle Vue' in there....very shoddy. But overall the programme is a big improvement on last season, but that's not difficult! As for the meeting, it was most enjoyable. Good close racing a bit of passing. Expected more from Stead and if Zagar had come to the races a bit after Frickes tactical it could have been a close finish. Loved Ashley Morris's pass on Nielsen (I think) coming off bend 4 early on and superb move on the bends 1/2 from NKI in his last race after missing the gate. Porsing looked sharp and Lambert seems to be pushing on nicely this season...could be a good season...hope those pesky Pirates (or injuries) don't derail it again
mudflaps
nice to see average manipulation by Bjerre in heat 15... "Self preservation society!!!"
Trees
Lewis will come good, he seems to have got himself sorted at PL level so only a matter of time. I wonder what damage Ash did to his machine after the meeting, expensive or not?
SteveLyric2
Can't understand Zagar's performance on a big, well prepared, world-championship-like track? Was he ill or has he not got his best bikes over here?
Star Lady
Pleased to read that there have been improvements to some things. It appears that constant track grading is not necessary as there was passing and no fallers. I have no problem with grading if the track is dangerous but allowing the dirt to spread outwards naturally always creates more lines IMO. Looks as if notice has been taken of comments about unnecessary delays between races happened too, whether by the ref or the promotion or both who knows but I'm sure fans with school age kids and folk who have early starts for work will appreciate a prompt finish. Small steps but in the right direction it seems
pointsmeanplayoffs
Regarding the programme, it is much better than the fold up effort of 2014. Credit where it's due for listening to feedback. The scorecard also changed slightly this week with the lines made darker so it's easier to fill in. Also like Rory's weekly column and the update on how the riders are doing elsewhere which will be awesome once the Polish and Scandi seasons kick in. Wouldn't mind seeing a few more stats in there as the season progresses, perhaps some of those fancy infographics you see nowadays. Then again, I love stats perhaps some others don't care so much. Did you know for example that up until last night, 50% of the heats ridden by Lewis Kerr this season for Lynn has ended in a shared heat?!?! krompa
Pretty strange that even Belle Vue fans say that Aces will not improve. 10 points between Zagar, Cook and Stead and still only lost by 7 away from home at one of title favourites track. I can see possible big improvement in this team and let's be honest, noone will touch them at home! Team with potentially no weak links, only Poole looks stronger on paper. The only worry is team spirit and it is a job for manager/promoters.

Some said the same about Leicester
g13webb
A much better meeting that I thoroughly enjoyed. Praise to the buzzer man, to kept them heat rolling. Minimal tractor racing and a warm evening made the whole occasion much better. Was home by quarter to 10. and that can't be bad... Thought the score flattered to deceive. At one point we were on for a big score, but it seemed as if some of the aces had different ideas, by winning the later heats. Got the impression the Stars was thinking the job was done. Disappointed with Zagar after a decent first ride. Cook battled hard for little return, whilst Stead was surprisingly off the pace...... No doubt the meetings will get harder as the season progresses, but I also feel the Stars will get stronger. Nice to see Kenneth back to something like we come to expect. Would have liked him to score the lot. Would've done his confidence a world of good...... That's not a moan, just a thought.. but he did well....... pointsmeanplayoffs
Big crowd too, biggest for some time. Does Lynn publish attendance figures? Must have been at least a 2000 there, biggest I've seen at Speedway for a while.
Phil The Ace
Can't understand Zagar's performance on a big, well prepared, world-championship-like track? Was he ill or has he not got his best bikes over here? No his best machinery is not over here. But name me a rider thst has???? The best bikes will always be where the money is at *poland*

Star Fever
yep good close racing and no delays...ironic though as it was actually pleasant weather this week!..... Well done Buster for turning up the heating Good to see Miklas in good form after his troubled start and also Kenny back to his gating best (well apart from ht15 ofc). Only slight worry were the reserves ..maybe riding too much now? Lewis didnt seem to have a lot of speed and although Ash made some good moves he lost positions too :/ Still a good overall performance, but if Zagar had been sharper could have been a closer end result! Bagpuss
Kerr relies on his gating much of the time and couldn't make a start last night, whereas I think Morris is still getting used to our track. The slicker conditions may well have caught then out too. In any event I am sure they will improve, too much talent between them for them not to come good. Bagpuss
I think it was as simple as being the one heat where he got beaten up a bit on the first two bends and couldn't hit fresh air.
