Peterborough replace Castleford in the MDL

A late change to the 2015 Midland Development League sees a return of a junior Peterborough side racing as the Thundercats in place of Castleford Kings , who have withdrawn from the league with immediate effect.

The Kings were using the Showground at Peterborough as their home base this year and commenced their season with a 20-16 over 2014 MDL champions Milton Keynes.

The fixture list remains as it was for the Kings .The MDL organisers would like to thank the Peterborough promotion for stepping in at short notice to keep the league strength at ten teams.

The Thundercats first meeting will be on Sunday 12th April facing Scunthorpe.

A pity to see the name Castleford disappear. Is it possible to have a reason for this?

Hi Laurence,

Are Peterborough going to take the Castleford fixtures as originally advertised?

Thanks

Mike

Interesting tweet from peter Oakes;

@oakes_pe: SCB suspend Castleford chairman Pete Hibberd who defends himself against complaints from 3 riders in this week's @speedwaystarmag

That looks intriguing. Thanks for the alert message Alan.
