Wolves Vs Belle Vue Tues 7th April

Recommended Posts

This is going to the debut for Musielak, and with all due respect he is not a Pawlicki, therefore expecting somewhere round 3 points.

For us to win, PK has to ride like he did at Coventry and Freddie has to up his game from what we've seen so far this season. Tough match and just hoping for a Wolves win, but with no real confidence in that.

Alot of Belle vue teams in the past have looked better on paper than they have performed on the track lets hope this team puts that record to bed.Tonight will give us some idea of how we will fair on the road this year.I hope we do very well as Wolves should be one of our more favoured away tracks. Fingers crossed as after a long lean spell our club needs to have a good year.

Did Freddie break the track record as their promoter predicted he would before the bees rain off?

Belle Vue kept it close but was surprised by some of their riders low scores. This on paper should have been their easiest away meeting. Still early days though

Congratulations to Wolves

belle view have 2 of the pl top riders and still they cant grind a result out of the meeting..just goes to prove when josh bates is not binning it and punching walls. he can do it. poor performance from the 2 top guys . cook saving himself for the polish league and the odd pl meeting.

same old belle vue dross. served up in different dressing..

long season for the aces.

just my opinion of course.

Apart from Stead and Fricke and the weaker Worrall, surely the nucleus of BV is the same as the underperforming 2014 outfit?!

Well that'll be me all wrong then!! :D

So nearly half there team then ? Change most sides with 3 better riders and you can change a average side into a good one . On paper this side is rock solid .

Rock solid on paper - but the same old story on track!!

Either a poor wind up attempt or a very strange honest opinion. Either way don't see too many agreeing with you, the three changes make Aces much stronger.

Yeah just an honest opinion, but not far from the truth?

On way home now.

Plenty of effort fromm the lads today especially zagar. Just riding the wrong lines again. Which seems to be the norm when we come wolves.

It was a match of 2 halves. Unfortunately for us it was the 2nd half that counted.

Wolves riders just rode the right lines. Which made them look good.

For us

Zagar - plenty of effort and did a heat 15. When he was passing on outside which was a lot he just couldn't quite get over the rider and was forever lifting

Fricke - a decent night. Kept missing the apex of bend 2. That was his problem. But a solid start

Nicholls - rode well. MOT

cook - first 2 he looked aggressive and had speed. But then same old cook. What he was doing in his 3rd race got knows. But he was passed and threw a strop and gave up. Don't like that. But he improved on last year albeit with easier rides

Stead - paid 7 in heat leader ain't bad. Don't forget last year he was at the much easier potion of 2. Riding at 5 is the hardest position in team this year

worrall - up and down like a yo yo

Nielsen - was like a amateur. Couldn't turn the bike. Ben Morley and clegg are waiting in the wings.

So not the result we expected but at least we can get it out of our systems straight away. Will be tougher tomo. I'm a gluten for punishment going lynn tomo. But I do it for the love of the aces.

Onwards and upwards as they say.

A quick note lemon made the right tactical moves. Well the 1 he had to make anyway. So fair play

Congratulations to Wolves, the best team on the night won and good to see PK in the points again.

Not too disappointed with the Belle Vue performance. The top 5 all had their moments, the real difference was at reserve. Worrall and Blackbird were fairly equal but Bates outscored Nielsen 6 - 0. Gate 4 was a graveyard.

I think both teams can take something from this match. Wolves were perhaps expecting a closer match but as mentioned PK rolled back the years and Musielak showed enough make me think he will be ok given the time to settle in. The Aces can take comfort from Zagar, Nicholls and Cook all showing we are going to fight for the points this year, Fricke, that he will do ok at this level and Worrall that he will hold his own with the other first tier reserves. Stead worked hard for his points and hopefully, this was just a bad match for Nielsen.

Well done to the wolves made hard work of it though Freddie needs to score from heat 1.

Freddie wasn't dominating races at Monmore in his last season with us, so hard to see him doing it now. His ride in Heat 7 was bordering on amateurish. I still believe he'll do well to maintain his average.

Some decent racing tonight. I thought Tomasz looked more comfortable as the night went on, Ricky Wells put himself about and bullied Fricke a couple of times too. I think our strong area will be at reserve, as Blackbird will get better as will Bates.
