Panthers89
Remember the Peterborough match was only arranged on Friday I beleive? I would have thought if the promotion at Peterborough had any thought for their supporters they wouldn't have agreed to run on Monday night. But, Peterborough want to get as much money as they can this Easter coz like Rye House they're a business. I feel sorry for any Panthers fans who travel by public transport. Probably got a cheap rail ticket that's only available on a certain train on the way back. Peterborough won't in my opinion get as many fans as they would have had the meeting have run on Friday as originally arranged. But I guess there's a cut off date for these League Cup fixtures and the Showground is available Monday. £20 for two meetings is very good value for money and it will suite the vast majority of fans attending. Realistically I think for those Panthers fans who don't travel you'll miss a good meeting. Just think if this was an Elite League fixture you'd be paying around £20 for 15 races, every week. I think people like to moan at anything these days. But as the saying goes "you can't please all of the people all of the time!" As I have said before, Rye are running a business, and how they do that, is there choice, but for missing out on say 30 panthers fans, at 16 quid, for the sake of 4 extra quid, doesn't make good business sense. iand
If fans only want to watch the first meeting then charge them £20 at the start. Once the first meeting is finished stick someone on the turnstile who can reimburse the extra money paid by anyone wishing to leave providing they return their admission ticket. Not Rocket science. Seems such an easy solution, can't see anything wrong with that idea. Yes it might cost a bit to enforce but would only need a couple of people to take up the option to get your money back. Surely in the current climate we should be encouraging as many people to come through the turnstiles. Perhaps going forward it should an idea that maybe the new management can do on a trial basis.

Exactly, and if you want to leave after the first meeting you aren't going to leave without claiming your £4 back. The fans that do leave early will probably spend more than that £4 in the stadium on food, drink and programmes etc too, especially if they are planning on getting back to Peterborough in time for the evening fixture.
SCB
Included a proggy in that figure. So it's £23 for Rye House then if you're including a programme. So it's not that close to what you pay at EL level. In fact what you have done is highlight Rye House charging £16 for PL speedway while some EL clubs are only charge £1 more! There your scandal! After all, we are secondary to the superstars of the "Elite League".
Panthers89
Do you still have to pay to get in if you go the water works way? Always catches me out that bugger!
Super Blue
I have to confess if I was in the same position as the Panthers fans I'd probably say stuff it as well ! Having to pay for something you're not going to watch seems scandalous to me . Im sure a few die hards will still turn up but it just seems the only one that's going to lose out is the Rye promotion , financially that is .

If you're coming from Harlow carry on down the A414 for a mile or so to the roundabout and take the first exit towards Hoddesdon. Over the next roundabout and left the mini roundabout (Middleton Rd). You'll find a double mini roundabout at the end where it's a right and a left into Rye Rd. The stadium is at the end. That'll save you 50p each way on the toll.

Spot on, and really wouldn't be difficult to do. Not Len's fault that P'boro have had to rearrange their home match but a bit of common sense would mean that far, far more away fans would travel.
