stratton
I like Lunna and i think he will come good also by everyone's comments he is great value he certainly was great value when he rode at Swindon the other week. But do people think? that not anough English kids get chances like some of there foreign counterparts. At Scunny they were great with Williamson gave him every chance but are there a few not getting chances.? As for Scunny what do they think about Auty what sort of season is he in for can he beat his best PL average.?
June
Sidney, Scunny has given chances to more young Brits than most other teams. We've missed out on points early in seasons for carrying them whilst they learn. Williamson, Bates Steph Neilsen L Blackbird, Ash Birks, Richie & Steve Worral., Sure I've missed others but I am doing recently and from memory. As for our Superb Josh. Always been my fav rider from NL days. Got to be the most exciting rider. Not being a gater makes all his races special. Josh knows Scunny track so well, on a good day he could beat the best top riders. I would love to see him in the G Ps.

Auty was brilliant on Monday and he had to be to beat the Tigers riders, if he rides like that all season, there won't be too many beating him at the EWR.

You cant fault Auty--doesnt try to be everyones mate, just gets on with it it,gripy, slick, wet or dusty still rides his nuts off, jumps in van and clears off home-i like that Someone said to me on Monday, you need a proper no,1 to finish meeting off when its tough going---erm one rider id back to win a big one at Scunny is Auty..[closely followed by Ryan Douglas]

He needs to just ride more meeting's keep sharp i will be very surprised if he does not average 8.50 in the PL. Paul Johnson
josh was awsome on monday, he was similar to steady riding sheffield, a class above eveyone else, he looked mean and moody to me, was it because the team were under performing? i dont know,he never came round for applause after a heat win, which i think that was a topic discuused at the scorps meetings, i think a fired up josh is best for us scunny fans and he also needs regular 2 league races, not once a fortnight racing he was getting last year, david will be ok when he figures the set up for the silencers and gets to ride off the kerb, nike, ellis and wilkco will give 110% even if running a last, same as thomas last year, after this run of 4 meets in 4 days we may get a better understanding od how theo and alex measure up, just hope it was bike issues and im sure they will want to turn it around... last monday was only our 2nd full team meeting, it was 10 days sinve they had rode last and is going to be another 10 days till we ride together again, how many teams will have rode 2 or 4 times in that space, only josh and ellis will get regular rides, nike may pick up 1

Josh has been threatening to average 8.5 for a few years, when he rode for Sheffield though every time he got close he went to number 1 and promptly dropped his average back down again - to maintain it he will need to learn to consistently gate, something which has alluded him so far
scunny1
Josh coming from the back is great to watch, if he could gate consistently he would just clear off into the distance. I know which I prefer to watch- as long as he doesn't give them all too much of a start.

SCB
Hopefully a season riding at Leicester will mean he learns to gate a lot better!
spin king
As many have said Josh is one of the most entertaining riders around the Premier League. But that gating is a problem and is what has let him down and held him back, and it is an issue that he does not seem to want to address going by the reaction to the more recent interviews when asked. To be honest his career has never really taken off and after watching him from when he first started he has underachieved. When first burst on the scene at Scunthorpe in the National League there was two riders around the same age, with identical averages both looked as though they would going to be superstars of the sport. The other one went on to fulfil that promise and went on to be a world class rider, where as Josh is kicking around the Premier League, and although yes Josh is an entertainer and a joy to watch he still is no better than he was 2 or 3 years down the line.
EIS002
Very good to see Josh Auty have a good meeting at Scunny, and I say that sincerely. The lad seams to me to be a mardy arse when things don't go his way. Head drops and his racing head goes to pot but hope he kicks on this year and look forward to seeing him and Steady at Owlerton later in the year.

I would not agree with that, Consistency is his problem he is still young anough this year he has started well we will see if he maintains it.In a week or so he has a heavy schedule,i want to see if he puts in consistent scores over that period. Bagpuss
For how long will he be 'still young'? This is his ninth season of PL racing, about time he was a top dog if he is ever going to be one.
lucifer sam
Josh has been threatening to average 8.5 for a few years, when he rode for Sheffield though every time he got close he went to number 1 and promptly dropped his average back down again - to maintain it he will need to learn to consistently gate, something which has alluded him so far Erm, actually Josh very nearly averaged 9.00 in 2012, the same year he was the No 1 for a team which won the Premier League. And that was despite the fact he got off to quite a slow start that season – take away the first couple of months of 2012 and I suspect his average was in excess of 9.00. Whereas this year he has hit the ground running. Weird that there’s a conversation on here about whether Josh is a top man in the PL or not, a few days after he’s completely owned Simon Stead around the EWR. Remember Stead gated on him twice as well; Josh made him look silly from the back. He’s proved countless times he’s the man for a big Heat 15 at the EWR. I still can’t believe just how far he came from behind to beat Tyson Nelson on the final lap in 2013. That was a truly astonishing ride. He is one of the most entertaining riders I've ever had the pleasure to have watched. Looking forward to Josh having a great year in 2015 - he looks really pumped and ready for it. All the best Rob Edited April 9, 2015 by lucifer sam

That can be said about 90% of riders in the PL to be fair, they are what they are and at the same time vital to the teams they ride for If alot more rider were like Josh Speedway would be alot better,in the days of riders relying so much on trapping Josh is a refreshing change, and Mondays meeting would have be a poor old do, Credit where credits due--Ty Proctors ride in heat 10 rounding Howe and Pijper on bends 3 and 4 was top draw--good to watch
June
Josh is Josh and what you see is what you get!....Without a doubt Josh is my type of racer. Stay as you are Josh we love what we see at Scunny, you are a crowd pleaser to most fans. I love races that include Josh he comes from the back ...lifts the crowd! A gate and go rider boring but you need one or 2 for tactical rides.

All the best Rob ....and Steady completely 'owned' him in 3 heats at Owlerton and made him look very pedestrian in the process. When the chips are down I know who I would rather have and it ain't Josh.
