Swindon Robins Vs Poole Pirates 3/4/15

Recommended Posts

What a farce - the Swindon twitter feed has been bleating on all day about there not being a problem with the weather and then Hey Presto its called off.

No finer way to alienate travelling fans in one easy move.

Coventry also told it was definitely on, only for it to not be. When will clubs learn. "It's still on" is a statement of fact", "it's definitely on" - well, it's a lie when it eventually gets called off isn't it?

We were their at 18.10 and it absolutely pissed down. The track was already wet, so it was no surprise really... That downpour finished it.. Funny thing though, there were more poole fans present than Swindons... :o

Was never going to be on with the rain today - should have been called off long before now!

Arrived at the Abbey from Bristol after 6pm, there was quite a lot of cars in the car park, queue at the turnstile including some Poole fans, stewards still taking the parking charges, then a steward came out , spoke to those waiting by the gate and people started leaving. Was raining heavy by then, too late to stop me making a wasted journey. What a shambles, the rain had travelled up the M4 and we still thought it would be on. Total shambles. Agree with you SteveO, should have been called off earlier.
