houdi
Great team effort tonight from the Bees, solid from 1-7,and on this form we should give any team a match. The addition of JK has really strengthened the team giving us 4 solid heat leaders, with possibly the strongest reserves in the league.Classy touch from Leicester to have a minutes applause for Booey, and I bet he enjoyed looking down on a victory over our old rivals. With the news that the Coventry Blaze today made it through to the Elite league Play Off Final it made a real Super Saturday. speedybee
That was a cracker. Great atmosphere, packed stadium, decent race track with several passes, plenty of close racing, a great view from the first bend and a totally motivated Bees team. Kylmakorpi was sensational. Happy Bee here!
abbo
Gemini sorry I can't agree with you over track grading. The track was in perfect condition for a great race meeting which it was. I don't know if you looked at the different types of grade carried out, a great track by Dave Hemsley and his track staff. Mick Horton what a great side you have presented us with, Joonas brilliant and was the final nail that was needed to make us a team capable of honours this season. Well done Mick! lionstigersnotbearsohmy
First visit to BP since last May. First and foremost congratulations to the Bees on a very professional performance. Also good to see them acknowledge their fans at the end. Not the best night for the Lions but Josh Auty looked tidy and competitive. Couple of passing moves by Bees riders early on and some robust first turns but all in all mostly gate and go processional stuff. At least the boundary fence looks smart now. Well done to the volunteers that did the hard work.

DH needs to axe the manager along with Pederson, both have let the team down in the last 2 league matches. Bees were too good and it should of been a bigger victory for them. Also looking on from my view on the back straight it appeared to me that Doyle fell on his own and should of been excluded. weatherwatcher
The Lions need a big shake up the way they are starting off again this season we have every chance of doing the double with another bottom place. Lets get KK in to replace pederson and get a new team manager, one that can get the team working together and not against one another. There dosn't seem to be any team spirit in place at the moment. Couldn't do any worse than trying to get Phil Morris to take over.
SCB
Fair play, everyone told Helmsley his meetings were boring so he signed Bjarne Pedersen and Simon Lambert so they can gate and be picked off A great Bees performance from 1-7. Outside of Poole he's more cold than hot. In fact he's mostly bleedin' freezing
JamieE
Went to Leicester more in hope than expectation of a decent Bees showing. What a great performance by each and every one of them though, rock solid throughout the whole team. Really feared a bit of a tonking with Schlein guesting as second string but he was merely just doing Pedersen's job for him! Watching Kylmakorpi practically 'longtracking' it around BP was a joy to behold! Can see why he was considered a Leicester specialist last year now. I thought the Bees management were playing a dangerous game leaving the steady pair of hands of Bomber out of heat 15 but fair play, JK and Andersen shot from the tapes and were gone, perhaps a sign of how well this team is working and talking together? Good on Sarj for beating Wozniak too who looked a fraction of the seemingly well dialled in rider he was in the challenge meeting a few weeks ago. Good win for us tonight but with Doyle leading the way at the top and Auty having the reserve races mostly to himself I'm sure Leicester won't be losing many at home this season. Got a lot of respect for Doyle as a rider but was it just me who thought it sounded like he was having an unnecessary dig at Coventry at the end with some comment that sounded like "At least we put a meeting on tonight unlike Coventry last night"? I could have just misheard or taken it the wrong way but it sounded like he genuinely thought Coventry let people down by calling Friday night off, as if they could have done more to get it on! If so, did he not see the weather we had on Friday evening?! Edited April 4, 2015 by JamieE

I don't quite understand what you mean by different types of grade carried out? It all looked the same to me as it was done with a tractor with what looked like 5 tyres in a row on the back. I agree the track was in perfect condition and the racing was the best I've seen there but just think in the first half of the match the tractor coming out every couple of heats was too much. If this grading is that important why was none done after heat 7 until the interval and then none afterwards? Sorry but I go to see Speedway racing not a tractor doing endless laps and for me it stops the flow of the match. But that's just my opinion because I was bored on my own. mrlincolncity
Awful speedway from start to finish, its all true what iv read, its one of if not THE worst track in the country! no chance whatsoever of a decent race due to the poor preparation and tight turns. It was rubbish tonight, first time iv been in over 2 seasons, and il not be rushing back to see who can get to the bend first, oh and just to put it straight, I was on the start of the 1st bend, Andersen clearly forced and knocked Doyle off, left him no room at all, typical of Andersen though.

I think Doyle was going for a big burst round the outside and there wasn't enough room as Chris was there as well as Andersen, but if you were that near you must be right. Regarding the racing I wouldn't say it was awful speedway by any means. How opinions vary. I disagree about 'poor preparation' as well. Considering how much rain we've had in the days beforehand a lot of hard work must have gone on to even get the match to go ahead. I think only one match survived on Good Friday. I won't argue about the shape of the track though as the majority of fans agree it's all wrong with the straights too long and narrow for the bends, but it doesn't look like it can be altered so that's it.
mrlincolncity
Hey dont get me wrong, im neutral on this, im kings lynn, i go to any speedway if its available to me to go, coventry deserved it for sure, pedersen is terrible and wont last riding like tonight! Decent crowd, decent stadium but the track was rubbish! Get some dirt on it! Break it up a bit for god sake cos if anyone thinks that was nearly good tonight you know nothing about decent speedway
