mdmc82
On the BSPA website Josh G is in the new Poole team declaration effective immediately (today) so it's not a case of him being used as an occasional guest. How can rory guest when he's not a PL rider? Edited April 2, 2015 by mdmc82

SteveLyric2
Updated on the other thread - Taken from Poole website - Redeclaration now accepted. Rule 17.6 allows a guest for any 1-5. Rory Schlein guests in the evening, subject to coming through his earlier meeting at Lakeside. ps. Looking at the latest forecast and depending on when the overnight rain stops allowing trackstaff to start working on the track, could there be a delayed start? Hello.......... The team has been re-declared. ps. Mdmc82 (and others it seems) working to their old dog-eared rulebook from years ago, rather then the 2015 version. A PL guest is permitted for riders for whom there is 'no facility'!! Edited April 2, 2015 by Skidder1

double_O
17.7 A GUEST RIDER (G) replaces an absent regular Team Member subject to the following: 17.7.1 If the absent Rider is in the Top 1 – 5 of the Team, then the Missing Rider’s MA will be enhanced by + 5% at a Home Meeting to determine the allowance for the Guest Rider. 17.7.1.2 A Rider may ride as a Guest (in an Official Meeting) at a Track only once in an 8-day period unless replacing the Home Teams #1 or is a NL Rider guesting for the Home Team. 17.7.1.3 The Guest must be in a current Team Declaration and have an MA that is the same or lower than that of the absent Rider. If a replacement PL Rider also has a current EL MA then the higher of the MA’s will dictate the eligibility. 17.7.1.4 The Guest assumes the position and MA of the Missing Rider. 17.7.2 Where the Missing Rider is an EDR (i.e. #6 or #7), then a Guest is permitted subject to: 17.7.2.1 Being on the current EDR List. 17.7.2.2 For a missing #6 then the Guest may be one from Tier 1 with a lower Grading or any Rider from either the Tier 1 Guest List or Tier 2 List. 17.7.2.3 For a missing #7 then the Guest may be anyone from Tier 2 with a lower Grading. 17.7.3 An EDR may guest for the same Team on a maximum of 4 occasions. 17.7.4 A Guest Rider in a "double-header" shall count as one Meeting only. 17.7.5 No Rider, whose Team qualifies for the Play-Offs is permitted to be a Guest Rider in the Play-Offs. Bagpuss
Putting aside the whole PL/double up issue it seems crazy that a heat leader can guest for a second string with the change in format last season.

SCB
So Coventry could've used an EL rider to cover for Barker last season? I think we all thought it had to be a PL guest for a double upper. It seems that way. Not sure why we all thought we couldn't :s I wonder if it is/was one of the many supplementary regulations.
foreverblue
Putting aside the whole PL/double up issue it seems crazy that a heat leader can guest for a second string with the change in format last season. At least partially due to his form at the end of last season.
Bagpuss
It would seem so but Rory 6.22 has a lower average than Josh 6.4 Absolutely, but Rory's average was achieved against heat leaders whereas Josh got his beating second strings and FTR's. A ORLOV
Absolutely, but Rory's average was achieved against heat leaders whereas Josh got his beating second strings and FTR's. Agree, this situation was predicted last year when the FTR system was bought in.

Nellie
Have. It says PL guest You haven't, because it doesn't. Not even in the 2014 rules. Our management seem to still think the same with robson There's not really much choice with Robson though. The only EL rider with a lower average than him is Gomolski. Ford knows how to play the system

Ford knows how to play the system Surely having re-declared, you can't revert back on the day of a meeting - that just wouldn't be right imho
