Somerset Vs Poole Challenge Match 27/03/2015

Recommended Posts

So after victory last sunday the Rebels prepare for a visit to Rye by facing the Elite team Poole. No Holder or Janowski (so much for full strength). Will still be hard with North riding well.

Rebels: Grajczonek, Wright, Kurtz, Lanham, Worrall, Starke, Compton.

Poole: Morris (g), North, Watt, Gomolski, R/R, Perks, Newman?

This is a complete let down (the Poole line-up) & one of the main reasons why UK Speedway is in the state it is in. Not completely Matt Fords fault but once a clash of fixtures was known the date should have been changed or meeting cancelled.

UK Speedway Europe's poor relations!!!!!!!!!

Better get used to it, there will be many more matches where riders are missing for various reasons.

Good luck to the lads tonight, don't go too mad it's only a friendly but I'm sure there will be se keen racing as there are a few ex Rebels on show. Safe journey to anyone travelling, on holiday myself so I'm just going to get myself sorted in the bar for the England match with the updates for speedway on the phone, excellent🍹

Have to agree with that SCB - what a disappointment for the Rebels fans,,

Perhaps Skidder can tell us if Darcy is/was there at Somerset tonight to give the heroic 'kiss of life' to whichever Pirate falls/fell - akin to his great gesture on Weds at Poole to young Mr Newman apparently....

Was Darcy there tonight Skidder to help the Mighty Pirates...

Of course not..

BTW are you determined to continually keep blowing Darcy's trumpet .. ;):D

I gather Darcy was there last night and I will continue to 'blow his trumpet' for his on-track/in-the-pits activities! If you don't like it, tough! :icon_smile_clown:

Charlie's finger looked horrible. No update as yet but I do fear a lengthy lay off for him. :(

Nothing broken, finger dislocated, was put back in place at hospital. Charles will miss tonight's match at Rye House but should be back in side for next Friday's home match v Plymouth.
