not me , decision was 100% correct , olly was a lot faster whats jakobsen suppose to do wave him past .Very impressed with rockets last night esp lykee he certainly attacked the track :t:

Kasper was a firm favourite at Glasgow last season, can't gate for toffee but never gives up and is a real racer

Arguably a nightmare start of season for Panthers with two of the team now out with seemingly long term injuries. It would also seem that Friday nights are not the panacea predicted by many..

what's jakobsen suppose to do wave him past .

No, but he is supposed to turn left. Not saying that I disagree with the decision but wouldn't have disagreed if Jakobsen have been excluded for unfair riding. I suppose if that was going into the 3rd bend then the decision wouldn't have been questioned which perhaps agrees with the ref's decision.

Thoroughly enjoyed last nights meeting, but why oh why do we have to watch such a lot of the tractor doing lap after lap when there is curfew in place.

Race times weren't getting any slower, and riders weren't getting into trouble, so why the need for all this waste of time?

Hope Olly finds his injuries aren't so bad as feared, and now look forward to the next time I can visit the EOSG.

Seen some shockers from Kennett at Peterborough but also recall an untouchable meeting. At their very best today I would say EK would just edge it today - but inconsistant whereas Masters has stepped up a level.

As you say, always prefer too watch your own riders. These continually team changes, doubling, trebling, guests, R/R are more damaging than the Tactical Joker. A regular 7 every match is a must in order to create the team / fan relationship.

You are 100% correct ,your own 7 riders is what will keep the fans interested in the Team.BSPA just don't listen to the fans I'm afraid.

Good all round performance from the Rockets only three last places said it all really. I honestly don't think the loss of Olly made a difference to the result only the margin

Steve Boxall looked good but the star of the night for me was Kasper who still can't gate but his bike looked quick and his bravery when passing down the back straight was very impressive. Maybe more by luck than judgement the inclusion of Aspegren looks to make us quite a bit more potent around the big tracks. As for Peterborough they will no doubt come good, the thane the basis of a very strong team with a couple of exceptions

Broken and dislocated right ankle is the verdict it appears and having an operation this morning.

Jakobsen didn't appear to change his line approaching the bend and although he left it late to turn (Team mate on his inside) he was leading and it was just a racing accident.

At the risk of upsetting fellow Rockets fans I can't help thinking that Kasper is at the wrong club for his riding style. You can't pull off the moves he did at the EOS at Rye.

how often do you shave ? shads..

Depends on the occasion ;) Edited by Shads

Good thinking Chris. Maybe you should have words with Len tonight and say, Kaspers too good for here, lets get Ben Morley, Simon Lambert, or one of the many other reserves back.

Never happier than when your moaning

Very wise! It was really cold in the grandstand last Sunday even though it was a nice day and the sun was shining. I'd advise several layers of clothing and a blanket being as it's an evening match. :)

I arrived kinda later than usual, so decided not to bother sitting in the stand. I did my usual thing and just stood at the very back. Wasn't that cold in there thankfully!

Again, a shame about the result but the racing, despite the track having seen better days, was good I thought.

Olly Allen was rightly excluded after his fall. I thought his move was kinda brash myself, but hey ho. Racers will be racers and of course he wasn't going to settle for 3rd...but now Panthers are without a number one and need to get searching for a replacement and fast! They certainly can't continue as they are. One query, how does rider replacement for an injury work, as in, who's able to take the remaining rides for the injured rider? At Lynn on Thursday when Nicklas Porsing went out injured early doors, Robert Lambert took one of his rides and he's not a reserve. Yet, at Peterborough last night, the reserves were the only ones that took Allen's remaining rides. Are the rules different for the EL and PL?

I will be there again on Good Friday, but whether I now do the Ipswich leg of the double header, I'm unsure. With Allen injured and both Lewis Blackbird and Robert Lambert being missing on EL duty, it all depends on what the team line up is...

We lost ALLEN during the meeting so in the PL reserves are all we are able to use.

RR running for a missing rider programmed at the start of the meeting means an extra ride for the rider one above him in the averages and those below but reserves are not limited to just one.

EL ride under different rules and they can incorporate RR immediately when losing a rider mid meeting.

A new rule was introduced into the Elite last season, if one of the top 5 is injured early in the meeting, that rider can be replaced by any rider from the top 5 with a lower average than the injured rider. I believe it's falls under something called the IRR injured rider rule.

Does seem a very good idea, but the PL have not agreed to this new rule.

Cheers both :t: Different rules for different leagues? No wonder I am so lost these days

First visit of the season to the Showground. Well done to the Rockets and wishing Ollie Allen a speedy recovery. Even on a fairly average night the racing at Peterborough surpasses the fare offered elsewhere. Well done to all the people who worked so hard over the winter to ensure racing could take place at the Showground this year.

Agree with these statements! The racing to me seems more of a spectacle there than it does at my own track, the Adrian Flux Arena (hard to stop calling it the Norfolk Arena! ) I, for one, am thankful that we still have an East of England Showground track to visit :t:

It's still Saddlebow Road to some of us....
