I'll be back again tonight...but I think I'm going to sit down in the stand this time and take a blanket. After freezing myself to bits last night at Lynn, I don't intend to do the same thing later :D

One week into the season and already i'm sick of it

The idiot referee did her level best to ruin our first home match against Ipswich now the news that despite becoming a Rye asset Silver has come to an agreement whereby Edward Kennett will Ride for Lakeside whenever the clubs ride on the same night with Lakeside riding at Arena

This is too crazy for words, there are a number of Friday night tracks in the PL so he stands to miss more than the odd meeting for instance April 10th at somerset. No thought from Silver for the few Rockets supporters who travel to watch them on their travels.

Very wise! It was really cold in the grandstand last Sunday even though it was a nice day and the sun was shining. I'd advise several layers of clothing and a blanket being as it's an evening match. :)

The right guest would be a help rather than a hindrance at Somerset, given Edwards record there, but I'd always prefer to see our own riders on track

Masters for Kennett strengthens Rye in my opinion. Nielsen for Lambert doesn't do the same for us.

Edward Kennetts record at Peterborough is on a par, if not better than Masters Edited by Shads

Not that many actually. As you say he misses the visit to Somerset but after that I can see only the match at Plymouth in August that clashes and chances are the EL fixture list will have changed by then anyway.

Seen some shockers from Kennett at Peterborough but also recall an untouchable meeting. At their very best today I would say EK would just edge it today - but inconsistant whereas Masters has stepped up a level.

As you say, always prefer too watch your own riders. These continually team changes, doubling, trebling, guests, R/R are more damaging than the Tactical Joker. A regular 7 every match is a must in order to create the team / fan relationship.

When you get the likes of Adams and Van Straaten getting the rules changed to suit them, you are never going to get a settled team due to doubling up/down, and manipulating the averages. They did it to Peterborough over Sundstrom a few years ago, and now they have new rules which completely favour the top (elite) league by taking first choice of anybody who is available, or not as the case may be.
