Ah Dekks my old sparring partner come's out with stupid statement shocker did you actually attend Ashfield last season the racing most weeks was top notch entertainment.

Now that I have thought about what i have said above you probably didn't even attend Armadale never mind Ashfield :D .

Sparring partner, hmmmm not quite. Re; most weeks, must be an odd definition of most that you use.

Being 250miles south sadly both the Dale and the Shiny New Ashfield are'nt likely to see me but then that's an obvious statement. Just looking at posts by the the usual Tig suspects from last season and you'll see a better racing track wouldn't go amiss. You can dress up Ashfield like a silk purse, but if the tracks the usual 1 line crater lined disaster it's been at times since the failed changes started in the name of home advantage, it's still going to be a sows ear.

Don't need to dress Ashfield up Dekks it is my opinion a far superior race circuit to Armadale preparation wise Armadale is second to none but it just doesn't do it for me as a speedway track but you have your opinion and i have mine.

But you are correct on one thing Sparring partner not quite there wasn't a good spar in you as it often reverted to more or less the same as your above post insulting anything bar Edinburgh but it is only your opinion one we don't take much notice off but your opinion all the same.

Really looking forward to today and hopefully a Tigers victory but the Monarchs look potent again should be a good close encounter

Hopefully all 14 Riders stay safe with the season starting off with far too many injuries already.

Morning.

Forecast for today doesn't look too smart and webcam of George Square shows a few puddles and a deal of dampness.

Is the weather going to spoil today's racing?

Thanks in advance.

There has been a few showers but mainly overcast & dry think every effort will be made to get this on and if it stays as it is weather-wise we should be ok.

Thank you.

Really looking forward to going to the new stadium.

The match should also be a good one.

Here's to an enjoyable day.

Full credit to both sets off riders for giving it a go in very difficult conditions can see were Craig Cook is coming from as i was surprised that we got to Ht 11 as the track was very wet in what was no more than a challenge to blow the cob webs away.

Difficult to assess on rider performances on the track the way it was but Rich , Nick & Aaron were very good and there will be a lot more to come from the rest For the Visiting Monarchs Sam Masters was superb ably backed by Cook & Wolbert also a word for young Riss took a sore one by attacking the track maybe going at it too hard but he looks as if he will be a good acquisition for the Monarchs

Looks as if both Scottish clubs are in for good seasons with the bit off luck you need with injuries etc, But we are optimistic and it will take a very good team to take anything off us at the New Peugeot Ashfield Stadium.

On to the Stadium the amount off work that has been done in such a short period off time is a credit to all involved and the Facilities are second to none visiting fan's will be very impressed at the transformation and if this is just phase 1 then it will be one off the top arenas in British speedway once the final works are completed.

The stadium was packed to the rafters today hard to say how many were actually in but approaching a couple off thousand would be close to the mark presentation was very professional and a lot off newcomers attending should have been impressed.

All in all there is plenty too be positive about in what should hopefully be a good season for both ourselves and the Monarchs albeit there's less succesful than ours.

With it being their first meeting i know they wanted to get it on but that was a joke it shouldn't have even started. Cook and Sedgmen having to pull up a lap into the first race and take their goggles of becuase they couldn't even see.

Tack was like slush riders rolling round at times as they couldn't even turn poor show.

Spent all that money and havn't even got rid of the holes going into bends 1&3.

On a side note hope young Riss is okay took a couple of sore ones today. hopefully be fine for Friday.
