Just come back in and glad its off, those conditions are not good for speedway.... :nono:

You saw the track. How bad was it?

Glad to see you're still quick on your feet. Now, can you pass on a few tips onto Kasper?

Always carry a few dog biscuits in my pocket. Don't think that'll be any help to Kasper Edited by Shads

Over my side of Town it's a bit cold and breezy with a totally clear sky but certainly not the worst conditions I've ever seen a Speedway meeting in .

As I said earlier , the track must have been really bad or they wouldn't have called it off so early , would they ? Surely not !

Either that or someone is seriously regretting making the decision when they did .

Doubt they're regretting it. Plenty of time for a re staging. You'll be stronger and will have had more track time Edited by Shads

It is strange some other tracks had rain all night and all morning but are still going ahead tonight, but we only had a bit of rain this morning, and quite a nice afternoon. It won't be the first or last time it happens. I knew I should have got my private helicopter out and gone had a look

No Badge, rain off? Rain off BOLLOCKS

Actually waterlogged track not rain off.....

come on guys, this morning you were all discussing that you hope it's called off early, hope it can be a racing track not just a rideable track, then when a decision is made, it's the wrong one.....

tsk only speedway fans!!

Hmm! Not so sure you have your facts correct there young Mr Shadders

I am sure that Shads does have the right stats. Very rarely does Len get it wrong. A couple of disaster forecasts, but he usually gets it right and prevents a lot of fans, particularly away fans and teams, from having a very wasted day and save them travelling.

When I went out to the garden at 19-00 and the wind was blowing a good un, I said I'm bloody glad I'm not at Foxhall tonight.

Certainly the right decision, they're running a business and hoping to make money or at least break even. Not many tracks can survive on diehard supporters alone, and when the weather is crap, the 2,5,10 times a season punters certainly stay at home.

For the past few seasons we've got meetings on when others wouldn't have bothered, but what's the point of making the extra effort when you know the crowd will be crap, hopefully we've learnt our lesson, weather crap, call it off.

You know what, we've managed to achieve 8 pages on meeting that didn't even happen, granted a hell of alot of weather talk and the rights or wrongs of the call off but it bodes well for some serious debate on future threads when we actually see some racing!

I'm now just itching for Good Friday when weather permitting I finally get to see some Speedway.

Isn't that meeting already called off? I'm sure it's meant to be cold that day, so wouldn't want the people that only turn up a few times a year put off attending.

But as we all know, for some obscure reason fans generally flock to Foxhall on a Good Friday, even though the racing is usually the worst we get all season. Probably down to the fact there's not much else to do. Be interesting to see the affect that clashing with the football has on the crowd, hopefully not much as fans should have the time to do both.

Going back over the years I think he has pretty much

If you're gonna call meetings off because it's too cold, just start the season in mid April.

He's no mug that Chris Louis. Last Thursdays light showers were a gift from the gods and may mean his side are still in the League Cup after the group stages
