I wouldn't be going overboard with beating panthers today ,panthers didn't have a lot of luck but overall a well deserved victory for zummerset very impressed with Charles wright again , and josh g ride in 15 was top notch :t:

I think the Rebels fans will disagree with you there! Fantastic win for Somerset.

Thought this would be a difficult first meeting against a decent Somerset side. Outgated in most heats but despite the slick track some good racing, could have been a classic with a few more racing lines. Josh and Kurtz looked very quick and Wright improving every season. Think the Rebels will be up there again, even after the late team changes.

I know I'll get shot down for this but i actualy thought wright saw Allen coming and leaned on him.

Also Kurtz jumped or rolled at the start 3 or 4 times and only got pulled back once...not that it mattered as he still flew past everyone on the one time he missed it!..

Very entertaining meeting I thought very impressed with Braby Kurtz thought he was awesome - as for Panthers Allen was poor and couldn't sit still at the starts and Simon Lambert was poor also - as for the track I thought the track staff are clueless all the dirt near the fence and made no attement to bring it in towards the none existent White line . Good meeting very impressed with Somerset

Is Brady Kurtz any relation to Todd? Regarding the track it's always difficult when meetings are held in the afternoon but I thought the track staff did a decent enough job. The ones on the 3rd/4th bend were definitely bringing the shale back towards the inside line after races and I was quite impressed to actually see track rakers. Don't have them any more at Coventry or a lot of other tracks. If that's what the racing is like on a "poor" track then I'm glad I'll be able to come to all the Sunday meetings this season. Really enjoyed it, although it's a shame Panthers didn't win.

.......SCB.......Hwo did he manage that without crashing then? Run up behind him an shout "booo"? :D Genuine question BTW.

Shawn....you really should get yourself to some meetings this season as you're obviously forgetting what Speedway is like. Of course a rider can cause another to crash without actually falling off himself.

Good start for the Rebels, shame Benji couldn't get on the score sheet.

Yes, he crashed in his second race and was taken to hospital. Any news how he is?

Surely if there is no contact then Olly did nothing wrong? I'm still confused. What did Olly do to warrant an exclusion if he didn't crash into Wright?

Having been to Leicester last week and saw an awful meeting with one decent race it was great to come to Peterborough this afternoon and see a cracker of a meeting, love this track, roll on more sunday afternoons.

Nice and close all the way through and a last heat decider what more could you ask for really enjoyed that.

Happy bunny this evening. :D

Neither team should get too excited by this opener as there is an awefully long way to go but needless to say I would rather take this than a good old Ipswich Foxall thrashing.

Nevertheless, a win at the EOES at any time is a good win.

Crash

noun
  1. 1.
a violent collision, typically of one vehicle with another or with an object.

There was no violent collision - might have been a smallish tap.

But enough for Chas to come off while Allen sailed off into the sunshine.

But Chas was up and waiting to confront him when he came round!!

Rye House won at Peterborough first meeting last year and look where they finished

The difference is I suppose, this is Somerset who have reached the play off final in the past 3 seasons. Not to mention this is the first season for a while for whatever reason we aren't overly fancied - so it bodes well winning today.
