Although I'm here in the office at Lakeside manning the phone etc, I've just heard the sound tht comes second only to my daughter's first words! That sound? You've got it, speedway engines roaring at the Vortex Lakeside Press and Practice session! ;)

As my only meeting in the past 30 years was Cardiff 2014, and I was sat with the old codgers about 1/2 mile from the track. I could not possibly comment.

All I want to make me happy is a track 10 minutes walk from home and with free entry on showing my bus pass. :party:

Must say I went to press and practice day ar Leicester and one of the riders was using Castrol R or something very much the same, what with the smell of Methanol and Castrol R it brought back some very fond memories.

Never thought I WOULD see someone praise Red Barrel it always gave me killer farts and I have 8 LITRES OF cASTROL r i HOPE TO SNEAK INTO THE pLYMOUTH TRACTOR DIESEL TANK THIS YEAR have to do ir without Nigel noticing though

Who said I liked Red Barrel? :rofl: . I was not over-fond of the 12" hot dogs either but Custom House was not noted for it's cuisine :nono:

I remember in the 1960s when it was "the in thing" to drink Red Barrel. Then there was a sudden switch to Double Diamond (works wonders?). :drink:
