Surely BSF members Posts are made to reach a wide audience - what's the point of making a comment about a club, team, track, rider etc if they are not meant to be noted by those being debated? :icon_smile_clown:

I wonder if the supporters of the track where "the face of British speedway" Tai Woffinden rode in 2014 agree they don't mind not having him in their team this season as he prefers personal glory to riding for a British team?

EDIT: Why did "the face of British speedway" Tai Woffinden not stay with a track in Britain and not opt to miss riding for a Swedish or Polish track"?

Probably because he considered Poland and Sweden as a better standard to test himself against in his bid to become World Champion again. Possibly the money was better in Sweden and Poland. Possibly the travelling involved is too much for him. In any of those scenarios he has done the sensible thing.

Sadly - British Speedway is just a sideshow these days. Most of the really top Riders won't even ride here. Tai has got it right in my opinion - I hope he goes on and wins the GP Series again for Great Britain.

And I am sure that "the face of British speedway" Tai Woffinden also has his 'homeland' Australia in mind? Oops - is that not the case?

Possibly - but - he does Ride for Great Britain.

He has won the GP Series and been recognised as World Champion, for Great Britain. It isn't his fault that he was brought up in Australia - that was down to his Parents - I had my misgivings at one time too. He is BRITISH and that is what counts. If he can help himself towards another Championship by not Riding here - then so be it.

It is a very long time ago since Great Britain could call the tune in World Speedway - I am afraid we are now among the 'also rans'. If Tai needs to move on to improve himself - then why shouldn't he?

I also read that Tai would return to Australia when his Career is over - having been brought up there, you and I would probably do the same.

Well done. Have you actually contributed financially John ?

Unnecessary and rude question The Doctor. What/whether anyone chooses to give, or not to give, is their business, and their business alone.

I reckon an apology to gustix would be nice in this case - don't you?

Give over..

He's putting the fact he started two threads about riders needing help as some sort of badge of honour.

If he's so offended he can contact me, you don't need to fight his battles from 300 miles away.

I'm not fighting anyone's battles - I am just looking for decent behaviour. Charitable Donations are entirely up to the individual - no-one else. I don't understand how you can justify your question in your original Post - it is none of your business. It's none of mine either - but the difference between you and myself is that I would never have even considered asking the question in the first place.

I hope this explains my position.

Seems a perfectly sensible and on topic question to me.

If we're not going to discuss donations to an Adam Roynon sponsorship fund on a thread about donations to an Adam Roynon sponsorship fund, then it's not going to go very far.

Blimey, if you're after decent behaviour then maybe chastise Gustix when he steps out of line on a daily basis then, or doesnt that suit you ?

Many things aren't anyone's business, but this is an open forum so questions can be asked. If someone like him is going to boast that he's starting threads in order to show himself as some kind of hero, then he's putting himself right in the firing line.

I hope this explains my position.

I wouldn't worry too much about gustix as he's quite capable of posting his own 'unnecessary and rude question' to someone. That's just the last one I can remember. ;)

What business is it of yours who Jerran Hart contacts?

None whatsoever Gemini.

I may be in a minority of one - but I still think questioning someone regarding their Charity Donations is wrong.

Even/Especially on an 'Open Forum'.

Sorry.

Not getting at Adam Roynon here, but is it in any way normal business practice that a rider is required to wear kevlars supplied by his team, yet is now having to replace them out of his own pocket?

Adam should, once he is 100% fit and checked out as ready to return, wear any old suit, and let the club which demands he wears their colours supply the replacement Peterborough outfit. After all, it was the club's paramedic peopli

e who cut them off!

I think the kevlars are ok tbh palm toft

was wearing them today!!

Is everyone aware that the web site creams off 7.4% of all money donated?

Now that the contributions have stalled at £170, out of which only about £160 will find its way out of the web sites coffers, what's going to happen next?

Will a picture be published of the cheque presentation ceremony?

When Adam Roynon blows an engine, is there going to be another appeal to the public to buy him a new one?

He never rides for long enough to wear one out.
